★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This Chinese restaurant has been around for decades, relocating a few times till its current location. It expanded to a few shop fronts facing main road of Jalan Kulim and acquires 2 or 3 extra shops at the back. Business is good with regular local customers. A popular place for functions like wedding dinner. The dishes are consistently good and affordable. It serves a few hard to find dishes like the yam dessert with gingko and the noodles are a must try: Mee Tiao is a Teochew rarity now, and it’s modern version of Emperor Noodle ?????.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's my favorite go-to restaurant whenever I'm back in my hometown. Most of their dishes are great and very affordable. Whenever there's stingray, we usually order it and have it steamed Nyonya, Teochew or Thai style. Apart from their dishes, their wa tan hor and their fried rice with salted fish is pretty good too. In order to ensure we get a parking spot, we usually go pretty early - around 6pm generally works unless there's a wedding banquet that night.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice crab with lots of roe, and very reasonable price. The duck egg fried koay teow is only RM8 and comes with 4 big prawns. Definitely coming back to try more dishes.
