★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is very nice hike with great view. But not only hiking, some rock climbing too. Some place is very steep. I feel it can be impossible for me in case of rain. To go up used 4 limbs and for down all 5 :)
In dry season a lot of ground dust that could not remove from my cloths and shoes even after washing machine. Better do not use nice clothes. And bring spare clothes to change after hiking.
To go up it took for me 1h 30min and 1h 20min to go down.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is good for one day trip for hiking. Before climbing, you need to register & pay the fee at the office located beneath the mountain.
As for myself, this track is not easy, with several steep mountain rocks to climb and slippery steep terrain to pass.
With total distance of 4km back and forth to the peak, Gunung Baling is highly recommended for a healthy family outdoor activity.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Relatively easy track for awesome view for sunrise/sunset. If you are a fast pacer, it will take 1hr to reach to peak, beginner/slow pacer, 2.5hrs.
Recommend to stretch your body before the hike as there is many area which is quite steep.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a typical limestone karst hill. Over 500 m ASL. First half is of fine red earth track and very slippery during wet weather. Furthermore, the track is infested with leeches. Just make sure one hikes with long pants and soccer socks. Walking stick is highly recommended. This is not a tough hike. One can enjoy 360 deg view at the peak. Gunung Pulai is just in front of Baling Hill. Entrance fee is RM5 and one is awarded a certificate for completing the hike.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quite an easy hike as there are good facilities here such as rope and railing to hold onto during climbing. It took about 1+ hour to reach the top depending on individuals. The view from up top is spectacular, as you can see surrounding Baling area and also the neighbouring Gunung Pulai. You need to register before climbing in the front office and pay entrance fee. After you finished climbing you will be given a certificate for your effort, neat! For inexperienced hiker, it is suggested to contact local guide for a more smooth hiking experince. Definitely a must try for mountain lovers and hikers alike.
