β β β β β I will be objective as much as possible in this review.
I went to this clinic with the intention of testing out their services by trying out their promotion.
What I Liked:
- Their clinic was near to my place and easy to find.
- Staff were responsive during chat inquiry.
- Upon arrival, the different treatment processes they were offering was explained well during consultation.
What I DID NOT Like:
- Instead of explaining the promotion package that I wanted to have, the consultant tried to offer different packages which were way more expensive. Their convincing power works for the not-so-strong-willed people, and you will end up taking their offer. This will be their first attempt to get you to spend more, so be warned.
- They asked me to pay first, before doing the treatment, which was odd. It is my first time to be asked to pay before doing any actual service. So I paid RM99 for the promotion that I originally wanted to have, PLUS RM700 for the additional scalp treatment that they offered.
- I expected more for the scalp treatment, but they just applied cleansing cream then scrubbed my scalp for a few minutes, rinsed it, applied serum, and thats it, done. RM700 gone in 30minutes. I strongly believe this treatment is way too overpriced for the service that you get.
- They made a second attempt for me to buy more scalp treatment sessions during the waiting time (for the serum to set in). They said the recommended treatment was 10 sessions(1 session per week). I could get a discount if I pay all those sessions within the day. The treatment efficacy may be true, but I dont like the fact that they try to get you to spend more during your first visit.
- The promotion package was also done in a jiffy, 15 minutes. Including waiting times in between, the whole thing was done in about 80minutes. And then there is a third attempt to get you to buy more treatment sessions, even giving special offers.
Conclusion:
As a first time customer who wanted to try out hair loss treatment for the first time, my experience with HairDoc was not so pleasing. I could not feel that pure intention from the staff to help me with my issue. I feel like they see me as an ATM machine with all those attempts to try to get me to spend more money on my first visit. The scalp treatment alone is damn expensive I even wondered if I really got the right treatment that I paid for.
I give 2 stars, because :
1- I try to be nice,
2- No one deserves 1star.

β β β β β Tbh, the rm99 feels like a scam. The moment you sit down and talk, they try to scare you, force you to sign up a 1 time session scalp treatment at RM700 instead of explaining the rm99 promo. Eventually i did the rm700 1 time scalp treatment with the rm99 promo. The scalp treatment isnt more if a mask, a wash and 1 serum appied on your head. At the end ,the manager im assuming comes and says i need to sign the rm6888 package in order to recover from alopecia. She told me ,if i signed the rm6888 package, the total rm799 spent today will be waived. Point is, they make u feel pressured and scared to sign up, not sincere to help customers. Gonna proceed my further sessions with another company. You have been warned peeps!!!

Friendly staffs are the most i like, i feel relaxed when i come for treatment.

β β β β β I have a very good experience with Ms Susan today, the one who did my scalp treatment. This is my second session after the first session 2 weeks ago. She was very kind and friendly.
And I also want to praise Ms May for not only selling the package but also to sell the value, and having kind of empathy and sense to help the customer based on their needs. (I will definitely think about the biodine treatment you proposed to me in my next visit. Hopefully the promo is still there. Haha)
The only part that I slash the other one star was bcs of my first visit experience.... I don't know who she was, coming to my chair while waiting for the serum to absorb... and start selling the package without introducing herself, and not even building any rapport with me. She came 2 times selling to me the package and I didnt sign up. She seems upset but for me, just have some sort of customer service skills, then you will sell. (Bcs after that Ms May approached me before I go back and I buy the package).
Thank you Ms May and Ms Susan! See you in my next visit.

I gave 1 star because:
- Promo price 99rm feel like just a scam, they will ask you do more treatments and in the end we have to spend 400 (scalp treatment) + 99rm >> if you cant provide service with 99rm price do not advertising and lure pp in to charge more money
- They will try to force you do more package together with the package 99rm because they find so many reasons like if not doing cleaning the scalp then the package 99rm will not effective :)) (we all know that they will get commission when can sale package but 99rm is a PROMOTION / 1 TIME TRY PACKAGE. People come to try not for you to withdraw money unwilling)
- When you dont want to do anything and left, they will ask you to pay 50rm for consultation fee without warning you from the beginning. So the advertisement just for lure you in to charge money without any mentioning about it. The consultation is just specialist coming and talk talk talk and ask you buy package and examine your hair to show your hair in the screen just few minutes, wao 50rm fee ? I did it in other place free actually!!!!
- They will recommend you all the long term package and ignore about your 99rm :))) like 10 times sessions bla bla without willing minded to help customer, all about money, which is so bad.
- the price not stable, while CONSULTING is 700rm (cleaning scalp) + 99rm (1 time session) become 400rm+99rm because we reluctant to do and want to left, very weird!!

β β β β β I've been here a few times now as I've signed a 10-time package with them. They're very friendly and more than happy to address any of your concerns in detail, and make a point to check in on you in between treatment sessions. However I'm sure many will be intimidated by their very strong sales pitch, so understandably some people will be put off. Nonetheless I have seen significant improvement in my condition and have not regretted signing up albeit this being one of the higher priced brands.
TLDR; Will recommend, but only if you have the money. ?

β β β β β I've never given anyone a 1-Star review but this truly felt like a scam, possibly one of the worst experience I've encountered thus far. I've tried communicating with them several of times, asking for a refund - but they refused. Went there initially to give their hair treatment a try as stated in their ads @RM99. Before the treatment, they asked to sit down with me to discuss about my hair loss condition. I was very desperate finding a hair fall solution back then and unfortunately, fell for their sales trap. In summary, this was what happened:
1. They asked to top up RM700 for the RM99 promo treatment - they said or else the treatment would be useless.
2. The way they handled and washed my hair was one of the most HORRIFYING experience, ever - it felt like they were trying so hard to drag as much hair as possible when they're washing - only to show me the amount of hair fall I've had, so they can prove how BAD my hair fall condition was back then.
3. I don't think I've ever done ANY hair treatment in my life that requires you to make a payment before a service is even done. They kept convincing me to take their treatment package - and later requested to make FULL PAYMENT right on that day. Thank God I didn't have a credit card back then, or else I would've required to pay RM8000+ on that day.
I was way over my transfer limit - so I requested if I could make the payment in the coming weeks when I come for my treatment - they refused & insisted that I make AS MUCH PAYMENT AS I COULD on that day, and kept pressuring me to do so.
4. I wasn't satisfy with the treatment obviously, and MCO lockdown has started shortly after I got the package - so I requested for a refund.
They say a refund was impossible as I've taken their complimentary shampoo set (which was included in their so called 'Package'). And they mentioned a refund was not possible because they've already purchased the hair treatment products/materials for me - which was RIDICULOUS!
5. Another dodgy part of the business is that, there isn't a fixed price for their services - this also means that prices can vary for different customers.
If anyone is looking for a hair fall solution, I would STRONGLY suggest to look elsewhere. I've never given anyone a 1-Star review because I think everyone deserves a chance - but for Hair Doc, this just felt like a pure scam; and feels like they were treating me as if I were a human ATM.
Unless you're prepared to pay the price - please rethink again before you visit Hair Doc. Take it from someone who've lost RM5K for a life lesson.

β β β β β Went for their first trial from an ad. The treatment was pleasant and quick. The consultants there are helpful and hospitable, especially during the consultation process, there's a detail scan on your scalp conditions and treatments they provide.
Looked up their fb page with some helpful info and testimonials too. Signed up for the package for 10 sessions, will wait for results. The only downside is that it is slightly pricey, excited to be seeing them again!
