Overpriced items. I just bought some potatoes from there. About 3 or 4kgs. Then when i went to the counter the price came to be like 30 FREAKING RINGGIT! THERE better be some gold in these potatoes! Then i went to a store right beside it called Qmart and bought like 1kg of the exact same quality potatos for guess what ? RM3.55!! Highly not recommended for grocery shopping unless you have money to throw around. In the picture of the potatos below, one is from this shop and one is from the other one i mentioned. Can you tell which is which?

Some Korean goods are offered cheap and many โ€œBuy1Free1โ€ promotions, but strongly recommended to CHECK the expiry dates of EACH ITEM before you purchase as the Korean owner wouldnโ€™t care less about selling expired food. My friends and I bought 2 ice-creams and 2 packs of candies, the snacks are ALL EXPIRED. We exchanged after realised it and the owner just told us that we should check the expiry date. Yes, is our consumers fault who failed to confirm the dates, but it is also the sellersโ€™ basic business responsibilities too before selling to the public. Anyone could just get food poisoning or health problems after eating certain expired foods. The owner was very rude and didnโ€™t even apologise to us like it was only the buyers fault. Will not support this mart again. Not worth a star, 0/5.

Enjoy buying from this shop. The meats prices are reasonable and well freeze packed. Happy to shop for korean products at a cheaper rate compared to hypermarkets. Family really eating feasting on the homemade Kimchi and sikhye

Good varieties of products. Pakistani staff were polite and helpful, canโ€™t say the same for the Asian guy manning the counter. Impolite, unwelcoming, did not respond to my greetings when I approached him. He basically refused to serve me just because I wanted to use my card for the payment? Itโ€™s okay if you only accept card for purchase above RM20. Why canโ€™t you be polite and recommend me some other stuff to add on instead? I would have then gladly bought from your store. Instead you hand over the stuff that I wanted to buy to your staff to put it back on the shelves? I could have created a scene there, but itโ€™s pandemic time and I didnโ€™t wanna add to the nationwide ruckus. Iโ€™ll give you one more chance Hanaro Mart just because you have wonderful varieties of products I personally like.

Im glad this mart and the other mart at the entrance is still operating. A lot of places has shut down in this ampang korean town. There used to be a Shin Sun Mi Market on the other side of the taman but that shut down too and became an arab mart.

Expired Goods on Main Display and Selling full price. the cashier a young korean man with crew cut hair wearing gold chains & necklace has a rough and semi hostile demeanor/body language was snappy and rudely retorted when he misunderstood a neutral reply. already he had an annoyed presence while manning the cashier throughout my time there. his pakistani workers were polite though and did due diligence in scanning for body temperature and prompting shoppers/customers to sanitize their hands with the hand sanitizers rub provided in-store. with all the basic S.O.P. health measures during Covid 19 CMCO partial lockdown how is it they are displaying and selling expired products past due on their main aisle with other goods? no notification or sticker/note, not put into the promotion/discounted/on offer section or box...usually located at the front of shop or in the case of the korean mart located at the basement of plaza mont kiara it is placed on a long table outside the entrance in the corridor for display. Consumers would know there must be a reason for the goods to be sold cheaply/cheaper and would ask and check why...even so those goods are a few months away from expiration. Tesco practice this for their Tesco brand chips. Here at Hanaro Mart Ampang it is blatant and sold for current market full price as a "good" item. And it is way past expiration. Quite sneaky and a health and consumer hazard. Just be careful and be aware when shopping and buying or doing business with this establishment even if they change name or location. Not transparent business practices..Take care everyone #staysafe #kitajagakita #chinca #saranghaeyo #covid19globalpandemic.
