Most horrible customer service I have ever experienced. All typos, rude attitude, takes 5 days only a reply when I ask them myself again, and saying he is unwell so he missed messages. Rude attitude. I'm not convenient to take calls at the moment as attending webinar while working from home asked them whether I can call them back tomorrow and the customer service told me "You need to make time for us, classes sold out as we brief them every single one.".They didn't even make time to reply our messages, what do you expect us to make arrangement on Friday last minute while class is on Sunday? We asked on Monday. Never met such arrogant customer service. Will never be interested in their classes anymore due to poor customer service. What is so hard to get price list and course description. Attended Axx Cooking Studio before and their customer services is tip top, way far better than this. We, customers also do not have responsibility to know whether your classes sold out MAGICALLY or not. We just want to know the details before we commit classes. Think twice before you go here for baking lessons, most probably there is no fixed price for all the lessons so that they do not have any written price lists and insisted to be on phone call. For the authenticity of the stuff I reviewed on top please refer to the conversation photos below .

Joined their chocolate tempering workshop, it was fun. I have not much baking experience so it took me some time to catch up with the class progress. Luckily the instructor helped by guiding me patiently when I did mistakes :)

We've been sending our team of staffs for team activities since 2019 and it has been not only rewarding but satisfying. It's relatively easy for us to communicate with the person in charge to arrange the workshops and tutors. The sessions we loved most were by international tutors especially. During MCO, we attended the local tutor workshops as well. There was a time where host decided to throw in a challenge and one of our team members won! It was a giveaway. Our team members are now able to produce good bakes. Overall, for all the 10+ sessions we attended, they were no hassle at all. As we are in service provider industry, we know it is not easy organizing and handling all the little things, but we thought of dropping by a review here to let Hands On Workshop team know our heartfelt appreciation. Thank you!

A workshop that can fulfill your baking interest especially for beginner. Enjoy the classes, the instructor is friendly and helpful. They just upgraded their interior. Even their in house cake is super yummy and not too sweet which also suitable for elderly.

One of the worst customer service experience. I was interested to consult for the workshop details on both sourdough class and the chocolate master class by Caramelia. The host of the H.O.W, Amelia was not professional in her customer service/ relationship skills. After confirming I was not able to make it for the sourdough workshop on 18 June, Amelia refused to provide further details on the chocolate master class with excuses despite asking her for 3 times. Her biased attitude was very disrespectful. Furthermore, the management of H.O.W are to be improved. There were no written details on the workshop including the workshop price even after consulting. They only call to provide workshop details to people β€œthey think” who will join the workshops.

Ordered both mango tango and mango pamelo in the past for birthday celebrations. Both cakes are light and airy, fruits were fresh and just the right amount of sweetness. Perfect for little ones and elderly. Finally attended the chocolate and berries tart workshop. Chef Stephanie was clear with her instructions and demonstrations, albeit a little fast pace but she was very patient in answering questions throughout the workshop. It is beginner friendly as each steps are broken down into smaller steps and demonstrated by the instructor. They have a team of assistants to assist as well if we face any difficulties during the process. Tried the tart and I was pleasantly surprised it's something I made. The shell was thin and crunchy, the chocolate filling was rich and the berry mousse was smooth and not too sweet. I would recommend this workshop to anyone who loves tart and has difficulty baking tart shells like I did.

Was told that the price for making the tart was RM300+ (Pricey because they would teach the technique from A-Z) and it was gonna be a 4-hour class. But the class ended 1 hour early, and you could literally find the recipe on Youtube or Google! I did not enjoy how the instructor was teaching the students too. Everyone is a beginner, but she decided to do everything very quick and I saw some of the students were struggling to keep up with her. The tart dough was nice, but the whipped cream was lumpy and textured! I was piping the right way like how they intructed me but the outcome was ugly because of the texture. Also, I was so disappointed because I thought we were going to make the meringue toppings from scratch but they already prepared them in advance. I paid so much for so basic recipe and little technique. Perhaps what HOW could do is to add a special ingredient/taste to attract your customers or demonstrate to your students how you make the puree and whatnot. Customers are here to learn new things!

Updated: Based on their reply, they seem to fail to see the point. I didn't like their tone from the get-go. I declined the class politely & even thanked them. They wanted a reason, so I told them. In fact, they could have replied, "It's okay, maybe you can make it another time". Not 'You get for what you pay etc'. Don't come at me and make me the villain telling you have this to pay, that to pay, families to honor. Dude, YOU ASKED for my reason & I told you partly. Another part was just the rude reply. Perhaps, I'm also struggling financially due to covid and the flood? You have a lot to learn from the Upper Kitchen. From the way, they communicate and the details they give when you contact them. My experience in and off class with them have always been nothing but pleasant. Saw their sponsored sourdough ad on IG. Contacted the number they gave and didn't like the tone and especially the replies I got. All I wanted to know were the details of the workshop before committing. Don't know the details, how to commit?! Upon a phone call of the class details, I decided not to proceed. They asked why & I gave my reason. The reply I got, "You get for what you pay...' Completely put me off! Extremely poor customer service was what turned me off in the first place.
