Wide variety of beautiful and healthy plants. But 3 stars given cuz their price tag is way higher than many other nurseries out there. For example a philo silver sword is priced at rm68 whereas I could easily find other similar in size for just rm20.

They have a wide range of plants and some β€˜rare’ ones. But their prices are ridiculous! Got a very tiny rhipsalis at rm68 and saw that online have the same exact size at rm13.90 Total ripoff :(

We used to buy cactus at Cameron Highlands. It is not suitable for us at low land. But here cactus and others flower are planted at low land. So it is suitable for us. The cactus is RM4 each but RM10 for 3.

I am undecided about this place, hence the 3 stars. Roaming nurseries across Malaysia is a hobby I enjoy, and visiting the ones at Sungei Buloh is something I do about once every 1-2 weeks. Over time, I have learnt to categorise the nurseries. There are the bigger ones that have either been modernised or are newly set up. The place is neat, prices are clearly printed, and workers run the place. The prices are OK, but the plants are what you can find in most other nurseries. Everything is clinical, workers know nothing about what they sell, and there is very little soul in these places. There are many more "categories" in my mind - the struggling ones run by old couples that haven't caught up with the times, but if you look carefully, there are rare gems. Then there are those that have been passed down to the next generation, where the latter is still trying to find its footing etc. And then there is Hee Garden. I reckon every 10 times I have walked into the nursery, I have made purchases only once or twice. I still cannot decide whether to hate or love this place. Like many other reviewers here, I balk at the prices. They appear to be higher than what other nurseries charge (although I am beginning to find that prices of some of their plants seem to be average market prices). There is also the attitude - the aunties and uncles here (family-run) have their moods. They can come across as a bit snooty or arrogant, and rather inflexible about their prices. At other times, they seem more relaxed and are willing to engage in casual banter. I find myself starting to warm up to them. First, the sheer variety. And not just any variety. Uncommon varieties. Rare ferns, rare dieffenbachias etc. They have them all. These people have been running their nursery for decades, and judging from the size of many of their plants, they didn't just recently jump on the bandwagon of procuring the latest instagrammable, sought-after plants. They have been at it for yonks, long before the pandemic-fuelled plant craze. Their plants are also largely immaculately looked after, meticulously and expertly tended to. And these people have a lot of capital to import plants from all over the world - Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand etc., so they continue to keep abreast of the latest plant trends and add on to their already well-curated inventory. This place yells pride and passion. Not another clinical nursery, but a family that continues to invest in a nursery they have tended to for decades. I tell myself these are the types of businesses that must be supported. I need to figure out how. I think I might bite the bullet and pay for the more rare varieties!

A good place to browse for new additions for your collection but not a good place to make your pruchase at. They have an array of unique flowering and non flowering plants, however some are overly priced. The same plant that I could get for Rm8 from Leong nursery, a few nurseries down the road, was priced at RM 65. ?

Lots of plants & flowers to choose from. Colourful, well arranged. Friendly staff. Visited while it was not so busy, they even entertained my bored kids. Nice shaded garden/nursery.
