Very nice and cozy environment. Good for family trip with kids. there are big garden , big dining room and big living room . There is big area for children to run around outside or play football.

4 rooms and can fit around 8pax. Catering was amazing! Superb for family retreat. However, the place could have been maintained better.

Mr Choong looked after us very well and was very accommodating. Simplistic yet more than adequate a wonderful place to get away from it all. We will be back!

Mr choong is a very good cook. All the meals are sumptuous and Mr choong is very accommodating and friendly. Very relaxed place and nice place to chill. Defintely will come again.

We loved almost everything about this place. Location, the exterior, the amazing garden, the hilltop view. The caretaker was really nice and an excellent cook. We didn't find the need to go anywhere. Felt like a little retreat. Would rate 5 stars except for 2 things. 1. Although it gives an authentic English home feel, the furniture's and fittings could use an upgrade. 2. The premium rates per night would apply with some upgrading works, not for the current interiors of the bungalow. Nevertheless, for the location and caretaker, you'll still leave happy.

Hill Top is located at Tanah Rata and for all the times that we have gone to Cameron Highlands, this has to be the one time that we truly felt amazed by the rolling mist as it envelopes the bungalow that wowed us as we pulled up the driveway. The house overlooks a valley and there is dense forestation all around. The house is over a hundred years old and although the furniture is mostly antique I must say the bed and pillows are super comfortable. Even the bathrooms may be a little creepy at first but the lighting is bright enough to make you feel comfortable. For someone who seldom has to bathe in the cold, I was most intrigued by the gas water heater. Seeing the flame light up inside the water heater was definitely a treat! The sprawling garden make for a gorgeous photo background and it is so well kept and manicured. Ancient trees line the garden covered in moss and ferns of all kinds - great for taking your young ones to learn about a different kind of flora. The Hill Top bungalow experience would not be complete if we do not have Mr Choong’s amazing homecooked meals! Mr Choong can whip up amazing cuisines of both Chinese and Western. Every meal was jaw droppingly amazing and even better than the standards of a good restaurant. I will miss his homemade scones and the jam that he painstakingly cooks and bottles on days when there are no visitors. You can even order from him and bring home scones and jam as souvenirs! He receives guests, chats with us, cooks for us and cleans the house on his own while keeping his small family in the adjoining wing to the bungalow. My daughter enjoyed playing with his young kids too! They enjoyed badminton and a bit of ball kicking around the garden. I’m left in amazement at how he makes it a one man show - truly continuing the legacy left over by his mother, Mrs Chong, the caretaker at the bungalow for well over thirty years.

We went on a family Christmas trip Dec 2020 and had a great time. The bungalow was gorgeous and we were fortunate to have lovely, cool weather. The barbeque at night is highly recommended, with caretaker Mr. Choong cooking up a storm for us- including an ice salad which was so unique and tasty. We bought a whole box home! It's a great place to bring kids - with lots of space for them to run around. All in all a very pleasant experience!
