โ โ โ โ โ My grandparents and my parents used to come here for lunch. I've been coming here since I was a little boy and now, I come here with my wife (whose grandparents and parents incidentally used to come here) and children.
Home-cooked, simple comfort food that has been relatively unchanged over the decades.

โ โ โ โ โ Not a lot of people know of Hing Kee restaurant, they serve really lovely food, old traditional cooking that's a real treat! Do check it out!

โ โ โ โ โ waitress was friendy, service quick, but the food was between mediocre and poor. Duck (3/4 bones) with ginger slices (found 2) in a tasteless brown sauce was very disappointing. Best of the meal was Kang Kung with shrimp paste, the plain rice and the soft drink. Thumbs up for the price: 5,50 US$. You find much better food just a few minutes away at the hawker stalls in Chulia Street

โ โ โ โ โ Very traditional chee cheong chok (pork intestine porridge). You can add BBQ and roast pork too.

โ โ โ โ โ A very established traditional eatery; one of the few with a next generation keen to carry on.
Had lunch of their popular dishes ie "kawh yoke, kangkong ham har and steam soup" ....fair pricing.
Restaurant is neat and tidy (not many tables ...2 big tables and 4 small ones) ; the biggest set back is difficulty in finding parking and at times in waiting for tables.

โ โ โ โ โ Been eating at this shop since my grandparents time, kangkung is a must to order, pity they no longer sell ginger beef (due to the shop close proximity with guan yin Temple)
