★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I live in PJ, but come to eat here quite often, as the food is good and cheap, and I had stayed in Taman Tenaga for TWENTY years.
The new Burmese girl here charged me a ridiculous ELEVEN ringgit for my meal this evening - two pieces of fish, some chicken and a scoop of vegetables.
I was taken aback and asked for a little discount, maybe even a dollar, explaining that I had come all the way from PJ, and that the usual Burmese girl here normally charged me much lesser - but she refused.
The usual cashier girl, who was apparently on leave today, had just last week charged only seven ringgit for exactly the same food - in fact, I had even taken some extra beans in tomato gravy then.
When Ah Hak, the male supervisor who knows me well, came back, I explained the situation to him and requested some discount, but he turned me down as well, to my surprise.
A short while later, I walked over to Ah Hak at the cashier table and again attempted to ask for a little discount, but negative - he hardly looked up as I was talking and merely carried on with his mobile phone, presumably watching some video.
Very disappointing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cheap economy rice shop. Dishes are a little limited about 20 types to choose from. The taste was just OK but felt a little salty for some dishes. It cost me about RM5.50 for rice with 1 vegetable and 1 chicken.
