I visited ioi branch on 24.8.18. I was very disappointed bcs the soft serve wasn't available at that time. What made it worse was that the cashier didn't even smile & say thank you after I paid. I didnt wanna complain but I guess I had to or else all the workers wouldn't have some common sense to smile & greet the customers properly. If U don't HV the soft serve, say it nicely. Don't have to show Ur tired & rude face at me. Thank U.

So yummy. A real taste of Hokkaido. But must not abuse it as the yummy taste doesn't come from the air. There is a decent amount of full cream and cheese inside.... plus the eggs, sugar.... but then how to resist????

It's very difficult to write a fair review after such a horrible experience when buying from this outlet. When I went up to the stall, there were no customers there, and the two workers on duty were both glued to their phones. So I said, "Excuse me" twice to get their attention. The first time, the girl (wearing a tudung) briefly looked up at me only to go back to her phone. My second "Excuse me" was slightly louder, and the young Malay man behind her looked up from his phone too (the first young lady ignored me), and gestured to the lady to attend to me. She turned away, making it clear that she wasn't going to. So the boy reluctantly got up and took my order. I order the 5+1 free option (3 original, 3 chocolate). When it came to payment, I used my card but the machine had run out of paper to print out the receipt. Since I had already paid, I told them both that I didn't need the receipt. But the boy told me, "Tidak boleh" and that I had to stay to wait for my receipt. Fine, I could accept that but I requested nicely for them to hurry up. They did not. The girl finally left her phone to help the boy get a new roll of paper SLOWLY and he fitted it in SLOWLY, while they were both complaining over how difficult it was to insert the new roll in. After the first try, the boy got so fed up that he asked me in an irritated manner, "Tiada cash ah?" I was a bit taken aback. I mean, my payment had already gone through so I didn't see why I'd need to pay a second time. After some time fiddling, the receipt finally got printed and I managed to escape. The exchange had been quite surprising since I'd been to other outlets with much better service. The tarts were smooth and creamy with a mild cheesy fragrance and oozed out when cut in two, while the crust was thick, buttery and snapped when it broke. I much preferred the original, as the chocolate masked the subtle cheese taste, making it like a bad chocolate pudding. The chopped nuts on it added good texture, but didn't lend much to the overall taste. I cannot fault the execution of the tarts themselves, since they were more or less as good as the other outlets. But seriously, the laziness of the two staff I encountered today has really put me off returning. If you want some good Japanese cheese tarts which are light on the cheese taste, then do come here. Just bring a sackload of patience along with you.

Actually this outlet in KL Gateway don’t even deserve me to give 1 star for them. Mainly because the service of the people in this outlet is very rude, lazy & not even wearing a mask during CMCO period. I personally love the tarts but after few times purchased from this outlet, and encounter the bad service experiences each & every time, seriously I hope the management can see & aware and be cautious when they hire the employees in their outlet. Truly affected the reputation of their brand. Not recommended to buy from KL GATEWAY outlet!

Grabbed some nice looking egg tarts with promotion - but 5 get 6 and was surprised! Nice friendly service and the egg tarts are really nice tasting, crunchy pastry and soft inside! Defiantly a good experience!

I came at 10.30 expecting the place to open. It was open, but the male employee rejected me saying it was supposed to open at 11. Online it stated that it is supposed to open at 10, so I knew it was just him being lazy. Terrible service and I hope the management actually hire decent person. The female employee I encountered before was okay though
