★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decent cheap and relatively clean room. Simple amenities available in the rooms for short stays or working nearby.
The air conditioner working flawlessly an electric kettle, glasses, teaspoons plus 3 small bottles of mineral water, not the RO variety.
There's a small office (reception) stationary/telcos simcard/mobile accessories (USB cable, charger etc etc) store downstairs and on the other side, a convenient store for all your daily needs (really convenient) at a normal retail price, not the usual rip-off price of stores near a hotel/Inn.
The only spot of bother is if happen to be next to a room with smoking guests. YMMV.
There's a mosque within walking plus police station etc. Life in a free and easy pace in a very quiet township of an historically significant iron mining industry in Malaysia. A Mining Museum is nearby with many important historical iron ore sites all around the area. And a few mines still in operation in the nearby hills.

everything is near e.g. dobi/convenient store / food stall
