★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Other workshops were quoting around rm1k saying that compressor was faulty or something was leaking/faulty needing replacement. Theg were very reluctant to actually troubleshoot. Uncle Hoo checked and took his time to actually troubleshoot the issue. Checked everything, compressor is ok, nothing leaking, cleaned everything, changed valve, etc...cost half of what the rest of the workshops were quoting. Two months and car is still running cool. Will update again after the third month.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to hoo car cooler after checking which aircon workshop would be good. So I went there on a limb. When I arrived and told him the issue I was having with my car he went straight to asking his employee to remove the cooling coil from the car. So I only assumed him being experienced that he knows what's the issue based on purely what I said and not checking first. After which he showed me there's leak in the cooling coil and told me cannot be fixed and need to be changed. I agreed cause of on the notion he knew best. After being replaced and still not working he came back and said compressor has issue and had to be replaced as well. So basically I told him how much it would cost in all. He quoted 1.1k. From what about 300rm. Well at that time I was ok as long as it works. After the job was done he said any problem I can come back, which made it seem like he was genuine about it . So I didn't ask for warranty. Less than 5 months later the aircon seized to work. I went back and told him . He said that it's already 5 months so not his problem. After persuading he checked here and there and said he couldn't find any issue. So he just filled up gas and was insistent on charging me despite the fact I just spent 1.1k On fixing the whole system. Eventually he didn't charge me cause I was adamant on not paying, I felt it was only fair he didn't charge me 65rm just to top up gas. Now 3 months later the aircon stop working again. I have no intention on going back. Maybe it's the asymmetric information but I believe at least he should have done a complete job.
