Ther is no words for this so called "hospital". We had to wait 3 hours for an infant to be examined. In this time they examined 2 patients who did not look sick at all. the doctor did not have any feeling for babies, she was nervous because baby cried during examination. Btw, baby is 1 year old. Afer that they sent us to specialist, he was OK, but we did not get any paper with diagnosis, he just said we have to give him antibiotics. I can not imagine if there is a real emergency, what kind of treatment you get.

We have lived in Langkawi for more than 15 years. We use the local medical services when it is convenient...but we understand the system and the language. The medical care is excellent. BUT because it is a cottage hospital, and using English only can be a problem. You will be given reasonable care, but the care on offer is basic as most Malaysians will have someone coming in to supplement the care. Saying that I have had two children in the system

The worst goverment hospital ever. Recently i had to bring my child for abdominal pain. The emergency triage nurse was not even smilling or greet, asked few questions and asked my son to wait. My son was having so much of pain but was only attended after 2 hours despite not many emergency cases at that point of time. After almost 2 hours we were called to see the doctor. I was attended by Dr Shalini who was very unprofessional and was very rude to me. She asked few questions, examine my son and came up with few investigation and i was told to wait another 2 to 3 hours or maybe more for the investigation report. I told her that i have a flight to take, she immediately said so why did you come here. Asked me to sign the AOR discharge form and leave. Is that how you handle all your patients????My poor child who was having fever at that time was not even treated and who was having stomachache was not given any treatment. When i asked Dr Shalini can i see the Hospital Pengarah, she said he has gone to watch LIMA. I am from kuala lumpur and i myself in this medical profession proud to say we get better services here at government hospitals at kl and selangor. Being a tourist attraction place if this gonna be the service, sad to say we are not going to get any tourist coming to this place. When i asked few local people about the medical service here at langkawi unfortunately they dont go to any of the hospitals here but they go to Penang. Very dissapointed from the way Dr Shalini spoke to me and the way she handled my son's case. Hope MMC, MOH and our goverment look into this.

I went to this hospital following a fracture affecting my left foot while hiking in Langkawi. Prior to the diagnosis, the attending staff at the Emergency quickly got me registered and assigned me a wheelchair to move around. Guess it was fortunate of me to receive treatment during off peak period, was told by the staff things could get very hectic during school holidays. X-ray was quick and my foot slab was done in a jiffy. Doctor also wrote a referral letter for follow up treatment and a "fit to fly" letter so I can board my plane hassle free the next day. Kudos to all staffs of Hospital Langkawi for your top notch service. Keep it up!

First of all, the nurses doesn't know where the psychiatric clinic is including the registration staff at the main entrance. Secondly, it takes so long just to see whoever is in the consultation room. I just walked off without seeing the MO.

Looking at reviews, nothing has changed for past several years. Was recently there, just a few people in a queue, but still 1.5 hours waiting. Doctor listens you only first 3 minutes, and falls into meditation right after. You have to pay for every move and even more - had muscle sprain, but they asked to make x-ray, which I don’t think make any sense. The funniest here is that you can’t get the scans you have just paid for! Not recommended.

Poor work ethic from lowest level PPK to nurses and doctors. Low moral and empathy. Using harsh words, double meaning and basically screaming when talking to patient. Came to emergency room a week before due date as my baby was not active after 10 movement but her heart rate reached 160-180. After several hours been monitored, before the doctor released me, she said mockingly "satisfied?". After giving birth, I was physically tortured when asked to changed uniform from LR dress to ward dress. Tugging, spinning, snatching my body even though i had just gave birth. No mobile bed to transfer patient, just wheel chair used. KKM instruction was also ignored by this hospital which is spouse can accompany mother in LR.

They Took some x-rays and said nothing was broken. A different in doctor in Germany saw the broken bone one second after looking at the pictures on my phone I took from the X-ray.
