MY favourite Sarawak Laksa I haven't gone back to Aunty Lan to get my Sarawak Laksa fix for the longest time. I think that pre-MCO 1.0 I have not stepped my foot into NZX where her restaurant, I-Tea House, is located. One fine morning, I suddenly craved for her laksa so I dragged the other half off the bed; and drove to Ara Damansara early in the morning when they have just opened its door for business - early bird gets the worm ma! I spotted the familiar place as I parked the car and made my way to the restaurant located somewhere in the middle of the dilapidated commercial area. Looking at the area alone would made first timers doubt the place, but the lure of a hot bowl of laksa proved too much to resist. ◾Sarawak Laksa - it tasted as good as I remember. The flavour of the soup suits my taste and definitely good until the last drop. Their special laksa remains at RM10 with 4 fresh prawns, shredded eggs and thick vermicelli. ◾Kwai Chap - according to Aunty Lan, she was facing shortage of manpower and stopped making this dish. I turned away disappointed to convey the message to the minister who wanted something soupy when Aunty Lan walked over to say "OK la.. I'll make one for you because there's not many customers early in the morning". The thick and broad rice sheets, egg, pork meat + spare parts doused in the dark herbal soup were such a delight to savour on. ◾Kolo Mee - there were 2 types and I went for their Kolo Mee merah where they added some ketchup and topped with char siew. ◾Teh Si - I forgot how good the Teh Si was.. not the best, but good enough for a picky drinker like me. Please go and support Aunty Lan whenever you're in the vicinity. Her business was affected during MCO.

I had the laksa while my friend had the kolok mee. This laksa is not the best I tasted but close. 5 star given for the prawns and the celantro. The shell for the prawns had been removed, only the head and the tail left. The kolok mee don't look quite like the kolok of Sarawak as they did not use the chicken bowl that is normally done in Kuching but was told that it is delicious.

Best place to fulfill your cravings for Sarawak delicacy! One of the best Sarawak laksa in town. Kueh zap, kolo mee, Sarawak style curry chicken rice is a must order too.

Doing another review. The last review was last 2 years. The laksa and the kolo mee here is a staple. However, there is a hidden gem in this kopitiam. In my opinion, it has the best "Tomato Kuey teow/ tomato mee" in the Klang Valley. You can request to mixed the noodles. It has that nice wok hei and the portions were great. The place also had other new stalls such as a chicken rice place that sells Smoked Chicken instead of the usual steam/roast.

Best Sarawak Laksa in town! Like it very much..the laksa came with Big prawns. Kolok mee also available here. Clean n nice environment. Parking is easily accessible as u can park underground or infront of the shoplot. If by public transport, alight from LRT Lembah Subang station then walk alittle can reach. Good place for affordable delicacies.

This is my 2nd visit, the food makes me miss home. Tried the red kolomee from Aunty Lan. It tasted authentic Sarawakian. Also tried the Zao Cai Fon Gan Fried Noodles from a different stall (new Foochow Food's stall). The Zao Cai taste is fragrant and sour. Taste is nice and acceptable. Suppose to try the Sweet Fried Noodle from another stall but is cloesed.

Came for the kolo mee, sarawak laksa and kuey chap and left with absolute satisfaction. Kuey chap is hard to come by in Klang Valley but this place absolutely nailed it. The broth is packed with herbs flavour and generous with ingredients. For RM10 a bowl it comes with broad rice noodles ( an absolute must for kuey chap), slices of meat and intensities and firm tofu. Also equally good is the sarawak laksa. One of the better ones in KL too. Broth is flavourful with local spices. For RM10 per bowl, it has 3 large sized prawns. They have 2 versions of kolo mee: red or white. The red version uses char Siew sauce which makes the noodle slightly sweet. The red version kolo mee is also rarely found in KL. Priced st RM7.50 for a (small) plate. Noodles were springy and was al dente. Came just slightly before lunch and food took about half an hour to be served. Many were there for takeaway. The shop also adhere to social distancing. Tables were placed apart and there is also an outdoor seating area.
