Another random encounter - came across this place when I was looking for food around this area. So very conveniently I walked in without reservation (i think it was 5ish). I was glad to see so many empty tables (see pic #3) so I just sat down at the one on the right. Soon after, the waiter who didn't bother to jaga what I'd call the "MySejahtera stand", escorted me out since I didn't have any reservation and claimed that they are the "Best Italian restaurant in whole of Penang" and "Is always full house". Eventually we settled with me taking one of the tables but must leave by 7pm, which I'm fine with.
Food/Price:
1. Fregola w/lobster, mussels and clams (MYR 52) - Never tried fregola before and thought the texture of the little balls was really unique! Don't think I've seen any Italian restaurants in KL serve this. I'd call this angmo riceball ? Generous amount of lobster meat (chopped) and mussels. Sauce is flavorful but more on the salty end. They also serve salt, pepper and chili flakes on the side. As much as it's unique, it's not like I will reorder this. Probably will try other things (ravioli and risotto!) on the menu.
2. Tiramisu (MYR 20) - Expressed to the waiter I didn't feel it was right the way they treated me and he made me a β€οΈ for my tiramisu HAHAHA wth so hiao ? I like the tiramisu cause they use lotsa mascarpone cheese. Ladyfingers were also soaked in coffee liquor (i think?) almost drunk d by the time i finished the tiramisu jk?
I will keep this experience in mind - will definitely make reservation in advance and see if my dining experience improves. Love the creativity of the food menu here - lots of variety. The architecture of the restaurant also makes you feel homey and cozy (esp the flooring!)

Bistecca Ribeye alla Griglia - my partner told me this is the best medium rare steak he eaten
Prosciutto di Tacchino, Funghi e Aglio
Turkey Ham, Mushrooms, Mozzarella, Tomato Sauce & Garlic - the crust is on point, flavour is a boom
Spezzatino di Agnello con Piselli e Purè di Patate

Pls make reservation ahead before dine in.
Simply one of the best restaurant in Penang.

β β β β β The food was great, really good pastas. The cheese platter was delicious. The white wine I ordered was great, it was barely a glass. That would be my only request. Since it's an expensive I was expecting a little bit more on my glass.

β β β β β Was looking for a good Italian restaurant and have no regrets I chose this place. Tried the black pizza and rigatoni pasta. Both vegetarian and ended the perfect dinner with vanilla gelato. A very nice meal after some time

β β β β β Excellent Italian restaurant in town, I must say worth every penny. Although some of their food have inconsistency in their salty level for their sides, their mains are amazing. pasta, steaks, appetizer are great! Friendly staff, but no birthday specials or complimentary cake from the venue.

β β β β β I dined here tonight as a party of 8 and ordered a number of items. Waiter did not write down the orders, merely commited to memory, he did not repeat the orders either. When a wrong item came (2XL tiger prawns for RM188), we informed that we did not ordered it. It is impossible for me to order it as I'm allergic to prawns. The waiter was insistent that we did and "forced" us to get the item.
In addition, our table was by the entrance and it was extremely warm. I told the waiter when he came to check on us, but he merely answered "that is out of my control".
Pasta was okay, pizza was no good. Can't go wrong with cold cuts and cheese. Food presentation looks nice though. Was told we'll get the table for 2 hours till 8.30pm but chased out abruptly at 8.17pm as "the next party has arrived (early)". Paid 700+ for a poor experience.
