β β β β β I went to Istac to learn about its events. Most scholars are well versed during presentation. The interior design looked totally classical with remmants from the past muslim civilisation.

β β β β β Very beautiful architecture. The library is full with gems as the books kept here are in wide field. However to go to the library, one has to climb a flight of stairs and you need stamina to reach it. The library is opened to public without any fee and if you need quite and peacefull space to study or do some writings, this is the place for you.

β β β β β Probably an alternative place to learn about Islam - if you care to learn, that is - rather than the malay-islam traditionally ingrained in the feudalistic mind of the majority Malays in this country. Islam is about subordination to almighty Allah and not to the institutionalised Islam 'managed' by each states with their own bureaucratic Islamic departments and authorities. The 'managed islam' is then distributed to the ignorant Malays who continue to have a closed and myopic view of Islam as they traverse the wide spaces of earth created by He who should be worshipped. May more institutions such as this flourish to counter and fend off the retarded version of malay-islam which continues to be perpetuated in the boring weekly Friday sermons.
