โ โ โ โ โ Cheap enough but too rushed at Pregnant maiden lake, followed by terrible water for snorkeling on thieving monkey beach, partly because of the boats all pulling up right on the beach. more rubbish than fish.

โ โ โ โ โ We arrived on time where I was told to wait with others. The waiting time was quite long, more than 30 minutes which defeat the purpose of us arriving early in the morning. On 1st August 2019, my friend and I got on this boat number 455. The man that handled/drove the boat was very rude. He drove the boat very fast until our back hurt. I am a Malaysian and had ridden boats in Terengganu, kota kinabalu, pangkor and etc but it was never like this. It was the worst experience ever. There were also 2 ladies that were in their 50's too on the boat which I'm sure they found the journey horrible. Also, every time the man speaks to us, it was like he was mad or something. He was especially rude to the other tourist and kept shouting "HELLO!! HELLOOO!!" a few times to get their attention instead of the polite "Excuse me". It was more like scolding. I bet that he likes to drive the boat really fast because he's young, but he is responsible to make it a pleasant ride for us paying customers and tourist so he should be more considerate. I'm Malaysian and all the time I kept thinking "this is so embarrassing because that's what tourist from outside Malaysia think of us, rude and inconsiderate"

โ โ โ โ โ 35rm was a reasonable price to pay for the outing but first stop, inland lake was a waste of the extra 6rm entry fee. On top of that we had to pay 5rm for a lifejacket which had to be worn if you wanted to swim in the lake. We were also conned into paying another 5rm (all this is in advance at the entrance) so we could use the kayak or peddle boat. We had an hour from leaving the boat and by the time we had queued, paid, walked up and down the hill to get there we found a tiny roped off area with dirty looking water. You couldn't swim with the life jacket on so after 5 minutes took a peddle boat which didn't work and by the time we had got out of it it was time to go back to the boat. Despite notices saying don't leave food around, people did and we were frightened by one of the many monkeys bearing it's teeth at us as we tried to walk passed. The rest of the trip was fine for the money.

Points to note:
1. Shared boat is economic and better to opt
2. On the second island there is a fresh water lake to visit, you need to take tickets
In the lake there are cheap motored boat which can be used as cheap as for 5 MYR for an hour

โ โ โ โ โ I booked early one day before departure of tomorrow morning trips.Thanks to The Cottage Guesthouse because of their efficient service arrangements between the company and it is truly make my best day for island hopping in Langkawi.The package is too many but i choose to have three places(Dayang Bunting island,eagles feeding spot,Beras Basah island) including return boat.So i going in morning session (9am - 12noon) We spent about an hour at each place,and i was so happy to meet nice people around me.

โ โ โ โ โ The view is magnificent but you actually need to be there at 8:30am if want to go with the first trip at 9am. If you came to Langkawi for just a day like me and i suggest go with the second trip at 2pm coz you won't make it in time for the first trip.
