★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is exactly the reason why i willingly went from KL to Kajang on a peaceful weekend, to leave my comfort zone, bustling with other people, just to find the comfortest food. Everything about it was perfect. The taste, spicyness, fragrance, and tenderness of the meat (i ordered both smoked duck and brisket) is a proud masterpiece. I must say that i had my foodgasm here, and would definitely come back (for many times)!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I tried their other branches and this is my first time visit here. I ordered Itik Salai Masak Lemak and Itik Salai Rendang. Loved that unique tastes as I did from their other branches. The masak lemak was a bit hot for me though, but I really loved the green chilli and coconut milk flavour with the very special smokey duck! Definitely recommend it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As a fan of daging salai, this is one of the best salai place in Klang Valley. Great portion and price is cheap. I asked for an additional portion of rice since the daging salai portion quite a lot for a single person meal.

i don't know about the other outlets, but here during my visit the different dishes were pre-packed in plastic containers. each serving was generous.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Affordable for big family. During PKP, dine in they use plastic food container for masak lemak, not feel welcoming. Prefer bowl for dine in and its ok to use plastic container for take away. Each branches has different taste.

Ever since a dear friend, Adrian, posted on what he claimed "the best duck curry", my mind wouldn't stop thinking about it. I day think night think .. think on when I can finally taste it. I don't have any business in Kajang so the visit has to be planned properly. One day when all the stars were aligned perfectly I finally made my way there - it took me freaking 50++ minutes to reach this area in Kajang that I've never stepped into before - in Waze we trust!
The sight of ducks being smoked with coconut shells was inviting, and as we checked in MySejahtera we noticed another stall selling grilled seafood and the word "Petai" attracted my attention.
◾Itik Masak Lemak - during this period, they only serve their duck curry in plastic containers and there is price-list for every item. Took a packet of rice to go with the curry because it was the right thing to do ? it's very hard to find duck curry nowadays and this proved to be worthwhile because the duck meat was not too hard and the curry gravy stayed true to Malay style.
◾Ikan Bakar Petai Banjir - we then proceed to this stall and instantly salivating upon seeing so much seafood. We decided to take one grilled fish and cockles covered with their homemade sambal cili. Petai had to be bought separately but you can request more of the sambal at no extra cost. We loved the fish but the cockles were overcooked - I prefer my cockles to be cooked medium.
Needless to say, both of us felt so full after the meal but the satisfaction was at its maximum level. Opens at 11am, we arrived early to finish everything before the lunch crowd started trickling in.
