★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went there during period PPN 2. They allow public for walk in for their registration like ic renewal, registration of married, birth, death etc.
Not sure if the operation hours change or not, but from what they show is Monday to Friday 0730-1730.
Reached there around 1400 (2pm) got shocked by the waiting line, was really long. They did a good job on crowd control, let people go in batch by batch so entry wont be overcrowded.
All counter were open when I was there, whole process from queuing up upon arrival until I get the birth cert took me around 45mins only.
Good?? First time I experienced government registration process so efficient, maybe is Putrajaya, that's why different. ??????

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I applied for renewal of IC online as chip spoilt. It was approved immediately and ready for collection. Tried getting appointment for collection but the website said no appointment required and walk in allowed. Arrived at 1.10pm, doors locked. Break 1-2pm (never had break time before). And notices everywhere that appointment is required. Priority for those with appointment. As usual, poor communication between those at the top and those on the ground. Finally when door was opened at 2pm, it was a free for all - forget the SOPs. Once inside, staff were friendly and efficient, work settled in 10mins.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Since MyKid recently open for application, the queue has been very long. I waited for 2 hours plus and it's understandable because everyone is rushing to get the MyKid. Please plan to have a long wait at JPN.

Expected 14 days to get my papers as it was SOP but after I explained my peculiar situation, managed to get them the next day! Which means I didn’t have to fly back for another trip! special thanks to Mohd Azriq bin Azlan! Thanks, very grateful for the attention to details and perfect customer service!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very efficient system and process provided you have the relevant documents with you. The staff are friendly, professional and helpful, and the service is quick. Once you're inside, you'll need to find the relevant department and collect your queue number from the respective counter. The JPN branch is clean.
