★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This modest unattractive bak kut teh place surprised me with the quality of the varieties of meat, taste of the soup and the personal touch of the boss in the preparation. Definitely worth return visits at any time.
The place is quite easy to find with waze. Ask for recommendations if you do not know what or how to order.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This eatery is hosted in an open air empty space opposite a Indian temple. The seating are scattered both indoor and outdoor. There is no air-conditioning but this is reasonable for a traditional eatery.
The uncle is very friendly. When I told him that his eatery is being featured as one of the top 10 must eat in Segamat, he joked about it.
Every bak ku teh is cooked by the boss himself, and the additional ingredient is cooked only after you ordered it. Hence the tapok, enoki mushroom is always served fresh. I like the black herbal soup base, as it is not as peppery. The pork rib is so tender that I can just use my chopstick to rip out the fresh of the bone easily. Normally I will ask for at least 2 top of the soup (free of charge) when I ate there.
Both my mother and I spent about 50RM for the spread I posted, 1 person shared of bak kut teh, one pig trotter, 2 rices, and a few side dishes. It is definitely worthy and at market rate.
This is a must visit breakfast/ brunch place for anyone who visited Segamat!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not worth a penny. Looks very popular, but the taste is ordinary. The eating surroundings are so messy and dirty. Most of all, overpriced and too expensive. One small bowl of pork hocks only 3 pieces, hardly any meat, only skin, 14 ringgits. And the taste was so disappointing. Too expensive and tasteless.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best bah kut teh and vinegar pork you can ever find! A must try bah kut teh if you ever pass by Segamat, Johor or even in Malaysia. It has that nice simple pork broth and not those common herbal soup you can find anywhere. Well recognized as top 10 bah kut teh in Malaysia or you can define in the world :) Local cuisine from Malaysia! Definitely my number 1 list for bah kut teh. Only for early birds as the bah kut teh sold out so fast daily and its outdoor!
