The bridge also serves as convenient alternative to the older bridge further north, but be forewarned that this second bridge leads directly into an industrial zone on the island, which will experience heavy peak rush hours especially in the evening times. Do plan ahead to cross the bridge at an earlier time to avoid congestions from the island's industrial zone at the end of the bridge.

People from Island can easily goes to Ikea or Design Villages at Batu Kawan or people from Seberang Perai can go straight to Airport / Bayan Lepas Industrial area by using this bridge.
