This shop is truly a jem and is a must visit in Malacca! We happened to chance upon Dawn's and David's shop and were awed by the amazing collection of vintage wares and wide style of art. If you are looking for art pieces, do come here to have a look! There are a few local artists' works on display but we particularly love David's pieces and find his abstract paintings emotion evoking. Looking at David's pieces on display, you can also see his evolution as an artist. We love all the art from the different eras. There is also a wide range/size of pieces available so you will definitely be able to find a size that you like. If you are into vintage homeware, there's old-school porcelain bowls, enamel trays, posters, ceramic wares, vintage glassware, carafes and other retro knickknacks. We also spotted a number of pieces from the colonial era. We knew we were in for a treat the moment we stepped into the shop and spent more than an hour browsing. Do not be afraid to ask the owners to tell you what's unique about each piece. The breadth of knowledge exhibited by Dawn and David about their vintage wares are truly amazing. We were provided with so much info about the history of the glasswares we bought that it made us appreciate all the pieces more. We snatched up some very good deals and cannot wait to visit the shop the next time we are back in Malacca. We also have not seen friendlier and more helpful shop owners! David and Dawn gave us a lift back to our hotel and Dawn gave us a sneak preview for the food which may be offered in their cafe (to be opened in the near future). The chai kueh that she gave us was the best we ever tasted and we cannnot wait to be back when their cafe opens!

A gem in Malacca town center. The name is a staple in Malaysiaโ€™s National Art treasure. One of the wonders of Malaysian art. Prices are reasonable and service was exemplary. Very friendly people who are passionate in what they do. Only parking is difficult on peak periods and festive season.

The art of collections were beautiful. The owner was friendly and explained the art display. Unfortunately, the art I bought for RM 98 wasn't packaged properly. It was wrapped in cotton like recycled cushion and then plastic wrapping. My art is an oil painting with 3D effects. The cotton residue got stuck to the oil strokes. Took me a while to get rid of most of it using vacuum. Should have started with a layer of tracing paper first.
