TL;DR:If you have a forgiving body type, he can make you a suit. Hence why my skinny friend had a good experience. But be prepared to deal with someone who is very disorganised, can be unprofessional with customers, and lacks skill to tailor a suit for other body types. Hence why me and another friend had such bad experiences.
I went to Jeremy in mid-May 2019 to make a 3-piece suit for my wedding.
At our first meet, he came across as technically knowledgeable. However there were some red flags - he was disorganized, and when I asked why another friend had a bad experience, he said he was unaware and shifted blame to my friend.
When I returned 3 weeks later for measurements, he had lost the notes from our first meet and we had to go through the whole process again. He also used very “novel” measuring techniques (this is not the first suit I’ve made).
3 weeks later was the 1st fit - but this was weirdly in draft cloth (again a first for me), and he had forgotten my vest too. Most bits didn’t fit great but Jeremy “eyeballed” it and said he could get it adjusted for the second fit. (most tailors use an actual measuring tape and pins)
We scheduled a 2nd fit 2 weeks later, but he then texted it was not ready and we delayed it by another week. At the 2nd fit, the fit was even worse. When asked why the jacket fit was worse, he said “my body shaped had changed”. My pants had too much cloth bunching in the groin which he said was “normal”. I disputed this and suggested I would bring another pair of tailored suit pants as a reference.
1 week later, about 5 weeks before my wedding on Aug 31, he texted he would pull out of our "transaction" because he was "not optimistic about being able to make a suit to my satisfaction".
In light of the subsequent good experience I had with Bespoked in 1 Utama (who managed to rush my suit in 1 month, in time for my wedding), probably wasn’t the wisest idea for me to go to a self-taught tailor for an important event.

Decided to get my first tailored work suit and stumbled upon Jeremy's Tailor. Incredibly courteous and patient, he guided me through every single part of the suit making process with meticulous precision, making the process a valuable learning experience.
Despite the pandemic and under lockdown, he was willing to adapt to the circumstance and make all the necessary preparations to finish my suit. That and the fact that he was transparent about his progress reassured me further.
So yes, highly recommend Jeremy Tok. Looking forward to making another suit with him in the foreseeable future!

I met him at his shop at the heart of KL town March, last year, just before Pandemic had started. He was such a detail-oriented, perfectionist professional yet warm, friendly, flexible and helpful person as he guided me choosing my best wedding suit. With the Pandemic waves and travel restrictions, I was not able to visit him again for tuning and adjustment but he has found an innovative way to satisfy his customers, especially someone like me who was going for a bespoke suit with no experience at all. We did online meetings and finally my final product was delivered this morning. Man, I could not be happier and satisfied with his masterpiece Sultan suit. Perfect fit. Two thumbs up, full recommendation for anyone who is looking for the best tailor for bespoke suit if you happen to be in KL, Malaysia or even now, you can be anywhere in the world, he can deal with you online with his new innovative tuning sessions, he will help and guide you every steps of the way to make the perfect suit for you for sure. Jeremy is among the BEST tailor / artisan in the world. I can sense his passion and enthusiasm in crafting my suit. He is very meticulous and if I may describe his work as “Engineered ART”. Every single detail is well taught out and executed. My fitting is done PERFECTLY with no collar gap, perfect button (perfect hand finished buttonhole) and pocket placements.
I find that Jeremy is a very good listener and detailed observer, With good understanding customer desires and of course a very good knowledge in tailoring. I choose the Holland & Sherry Swan Hill (super 160’s) fabric which I think is suited to his level of artisan skills. The craftsmanship which I have to stress is not only its extensive hand finishing but also the perfectly execution of it. There is so many details in suit which I appreciate which is not able to be expressed here ( The full floating canvas as well as the lining.... etc), this only demonstrates the passion when the suit is being crafted.
Again, highly recommended and Jeremy keep doing what you are doing. Well done !
