Amazing place. Rare collection. Bit pricy. The lady in the store knows exactly where the book is. Just tell the author name.

One of the most interesting book store in old town where it's a collection of old books, comics and magazines from previous decades in different kind of languages such as Malay, English, Chinese, German and Spanish. Aside the books, they do sell postcards, stamps and even ashtrays. However the browsing for these books are difficult due to all the books are wrapped so you not able to see what's contents inside and some books are quite pricey too. Navigating on the second floor are quite difficult too due to the narrow ceiling which sometimes the head can hit the ceiling if not very careful. This place is good if you wanted to looking for the old books from old times.

Four stars for one heck of a browsing experience tho gotta say I didn’t recognize so much of what’s inside this place. A real treasure hunt. Ended up buying books based on the logic of, well, probably won’t run into this one anywhere else.

I've always searched for bookstores like Junk Book Store: the crowded, wall to wall of old books, more in the attic. You need to spot a good one right underneath all the other junk. This would be a great place to find a needle in the haystack, which I seldom always find when I come here. But I've never bought anything, as I find the books a bit overvalued, even when the lady offers me discounts. I've been here about three times now, but certain that the third time was the last time.

Small and tiny place, but filled with lots of books of different genres. Books are nicely packaged in plastic wrappers, so the condition of the books are maintained. The auntie was also really friendly and helpful, and even gave us a free book when we left!

Straight to the point, First time walk into the shop, the lady downstairs force us to buy atleast one book if you want to go visit the upstairs. Then the price is not according to what what stated at the entrance (50% off). We didnt find any book we are looking for, so we simply take any three books which only costed RM 5 (if discounted) per book. However, the we still paid for the original price. Conclusion , this shop is given us feels like if you dont bought anything you counld leave.

The worst thing happened to me today was stepping into this Junk Book Store. We are student photographers that roam around petaling street looking for interesting places and we went into the store. The lady there told us we have to buy something if we want to shoot photos in the store, and according to her she's giving 50% off on all items. We were ok with it since we feel like supporting her business during this hard time. We just started taking a few photos and she suddenly started screaming and shouting at us asking why are we taking so much photos? She even ask us are we going to sell those photos. The items in the shop is crazily overpriced and she forced us to buy something before we leave the store, I only took less then 5 photos lol. Ended up paying RM30 for two shabby and worn out post cards and my friend bought two comic books for RM80. Do not visit this book store, this book store is a scam.
