β β β β β Affordable price. Taste is good, almost as good as in Japan but not quite there yet, maybe 80~90%. Ramen is the best. Definitely better than sushi king. Can't complain much for the given price but definitely highly recommended. Food is halal but this place does serves alcohol. Waitress are all Muslim here so no worries.

β β β β β Went with family and ordered curry katsu rice, salmon steak and chicken teriyaki.
The curry is not as sour as others that i tried, and its more.. Curry-ish with capsicum. Very different than what i used but still very good. The chicken katsu is perfect. Crispy on the outside, moist and tender on. The inside.
Chicken teriyaki is griled to perfection, and the teriyaki sauce is not too sweet. What caught my interest the most is the salmon steak. It comes with special sauce, that taste like mixture of miso and wasabi. Not too spicy, a little bit on salty side, but very unique. Never had anything like it before, it's unbelievably good. Really recommend this dish.
The restaurant is nice and clean. All in all very good. Recommend for all of u to try.

β β β β β Decided to try here because of the good ratings on google. 3 stars given mainly for the Chawan mushi which is really delicious. The beef udon tasted quite bad imo, soup is sweet and weird that i don't even want to drink the soup at all, noodle is typical cheap package type of udon. Salmon belly is not bad, salmon skin is nice and crispy, portion is big for the price, but it do need a little more salt and pepper to bring out the taste. Miso soup is tasteless.
No selection of sushi at all which is quite a disappointment.
Reasonable price. Nothing near authentic like the other comments but if you prefer localized kinda japanese food i guess u can give it a try here.

β β β β β I had unagi bento. Portion was good and the prices generally reasonable too. Had chawanmushi, nice and flavourful at only rm2.50.
I wont hesitate to revisit.

β β β β β Never knew that an easily accessible japanese restaurant located near me. Heard about this place for quite some time but covid mco prevented me from trying out this place.
Got myself a bento beef teppanyaki if I'm not mistaken, natto with raw egg, chawanmushi, yakitori (repeat order as it was that good) and korokke (Croquettes) for dinner and it was a fun experience.
5/5 will dine again as there are so many dishes to try.

β β β β β - the FIRST ever and LONGEST standing Japanese restaurant in AS over the years bracing thru the pandemic
- located in the historical old CBD of AS where early shoplots congregated their businesses
- Menu items are fairly substantial, u can taste the freshness of the food served and that every meal was prepared order by order, the wait was well worth it.
- Ambience was the same as when it first started, taking us back in time to when we first started out in the job market years back, nostalgic! And this time they've definitely improved their meals.
- Bento / Set Meal was great! our meals were served piping hot! Chicken katsu was battered well and fried to perfection with the meat inside still moist.
- Chicken bam bam was also a thumbs up albeit a tad bit oily but still worth a try!
- Green tea ( not refillable sadly), but cost only RM 1.00, overall price is friendly even for AS folk.
- From the menu, it seems they are pork / alcohol free.
- Waiters took our order shortly after seated and are polite, kudos.
- Meanwhile cutlery given are disposable type, but it doesn't bother us given the pandemic
- Parking spots aplenty and no problem esp after office hours.
- We'll definitely revisit!
suggestion: playing relaxing music / Japanese tunes would definitely up the vibe and nostalgia
