we ordered wantan mee, lobak, lo mee, i m going to be honest here, everything i ate there was delicious except lo mee, i donno wat is wrong with lo mee, taste weird & watery compare to KL lo mee. and 1 more thing to highlight, to someone who dont eat chili like me, i just cant accept that chilis is put on top of the spoon while serving with the meal, so i m going to throw the chili on the table or ask another clean spoon & get weird stare by the stall owner?

Ping Hooi Coffee Shop has the best of the variety of favourite Penang food except for Asam Laksa and Curry Mee. Prawn Noodles, Char Koay Teow, Wan Ton Mee, Lor Bak is very tasty. The Prawn Noodles with Pork Ribs is exceptionally wonderful. A must try. Place is small, not able to accommodate too many tables. Very difficult to get carpark as well. Need to park as far as 400m away and walk. Price is reasonable and clean Coffee Shop. Good service

I like the 'lo bak' in the cafe. A must visit cafe every time I visit Penang. Problem is hard to get parking slot.

At the corner of Carnarvon Street and Melayu Street, Ping Hooi is quite a popular haunt for breakfast and mid-morning diners. It has a variety of Penang favourites there, and the Tiger Char Koay Teow is located in this brightly coloured coffee shop. Parking is literally non existent unless you get very lucky and park along Carnarvon or the adjoining roads around it. You might get lucky after a few rounds, so do keep trying your luck. The early morning stalls include Hokkien Mee, Lor Bak, Duck meat beehoon soup and others, and are all very good, with the exception of the lor bak, which , to me, was evident that sugar was a key ingredient in the deep fried offerings. For a coffee shop that's almost 65 years old, it still looks good, and even has the old fashioned booth sitting by the side wall, so retro - but it just lends a charming vibe to the whole place. I also loved the back area of the coffee shop, being so colourful and even has plastic mobiles hanging on it (see video) which was such a hoot! Nice place to come and savour some of Penang's delights and immerse yourself in a really old coffee shop.

This is authentic Penang stir fried Kuey Teow, suggest goes for the duck egg, and it’s worth to spend RM4 to add on siham (clam).

One of the best old school dining experience in Georgetown. Breakfast starts with the must have loh bak, lorr mee, char koay teow and hot coffee. This place is within walking distance from the historical landmarks of Georgetown.

The tiger char kuey Tiow is worth trying. We ordered with duck egg, it’s rm9. And we tried the loh mee and loh Bak. All decent breakfast. I think the drink wise not so nice as quite dilute ? So yeah…
