★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice Kampung so close to PJ/KL. There are some good authentic Malay food there. Miecord is one of them, nice Malay style char koay teow, mee goreng, nasi goreng etc. Sambal Hijau is another good place for nasi campur. Muhibbah is quite well known for its halal chinese cuisine... have not eaten here before but am looking forward to try that!
My favourite part of the Kampung is the cycle route from Bandar Utama to Desa Park City. Passing through TTDI & Kg Sg Penchala, take a right turn at the mosque traffic light. Ride along Jln Palimbayan to the end. Take the right fork which is only passable on foot or by bike/bicycle. This will take you under the highway into Desa Park City.
Desa Park City is a cyclist haven. Proper bike lanes, clearly marked zebra crossings AND considerate drivers! (Which is the most important thing for cycling safety)
Thoroughly enjoyable ride in the cool morning air. You may come across troops of monkeys along Jln Palimbayan going about their daily routine of ransacking the garbage, swinging from branches, chasing one another and just chilling. Otherwise the kampung is incredibly peaceful! Oh...... very very few cars!!! Bliss ☺
