Buyer beware ! I spent $400 to repair my watch because water was getting in, and he said he had repaired it . Unfortunately a few months later, water started getting into the watch again. He would not honor his warranty and ironically insisted I go through the same steps he covered in the first repair for $300 again. Gosh! Go to him for cheap jobs only like battery replacements. what a cheat!

I had my watch’s battery replaced and it was quick. I paid 25rm but I guess that is really depends on the battery size. At least I know how to change my battery now as I can see the workstation. Thanks! Highly recommended for a simple watch service.

Went to change a battery today for a wrist watch. Normally in the past have paid RM10-RM15. But today I was charged RM30 for the battery!! Asked the owner why was it so expensive and the reply was that it was made in Switzerland and if I went to other shops, they would charge RM60. So I decided to check online the price of the battery and it turns out the exact battery can be bought for only RM5!! Its the worst feeling dealing with dishonest merchants. Wont be going back to this shop again!!

I've been frequenting Singwa Watch since late 2002 when the late Mr Bobby Fong was one of the two watchsmiths working here. I've purchased Seiko and Alba watches from Singwa when they were more affordable back in the day. Today Singwa Watch is manned by Mr Fong's partner, Mr Fum and his son, Shawn. I've known Shawn for 5 years now and he's a competent watch technician, but falls short of being a specialist in vintage mechanical and quartz chronographs. However it wouldn't be fair to expect his level of expertise to be equal to Swiss trained and certified watchsmiths. Singwa is currently the only watch repair shop for the entire Section 14, since the iconic Hing's Watch store in the Jaya Shopping Center moved to Starling Mall in Damansara Utama. Battery change and watch repair fees are fair. Singwa is also able to replace rechargeable batteries for Seiko Kinetic and Solar models. This shop does not service Citizen Eco Drive (solar powered) watches though - for Eco Drives I'd suggest that you go to the Citizen Watch service center in Subang Jaya. Singwa can however, replace batteries for normal Citizen quartz watches (non Eco Drive type). Since Singwa Watch is a small family operated business, it doesn't have the space to display an extensive range of Seiko, Alba, Casio watches or aftermarket watch straps. You'll have to go elsewhere to find that special model that you want. However they do sell Seiko, Orient and Rhythm wall clocks. Both Mr Fum and son are capable of servicing simple mechanical (non-chronograph) watches and calibrate their accuracy. If you have a vintage watch, they might be able to repair only if the replacement components or equal substitutes can be sourced. It's also the same situation with other watch repairers. Lunch time is generally a busy period Expect walk in customers to send their watches for a battery change. Singwa Watch also accepts debit and credit cards but the store prefers cash payments whenever possible.

I went there to change the battery for my husband's watch. The owner checked it and said that it was broken and he needs to fix it for RM300 charge. I said never mind and I will find somebody to fix it later. Before I go, he asked to see the watch again and did something to it until the dial went off from the watch face. I only realised it when I checked it in the car and was so upset. After reading so many similar bad reviews from this shop, I can concluded that this shop owner is a dishonest person. Avoid at all cost!
