One of the best Hainan Chicken Rice I ever tasted... Half chicken for two of us is just right (picture of half chicken attached) Always come here if I visit Malacca....

Was wondering around after our breakkie and was this shop, long q when we first saw it, suspect should be travellers and not locals. So we didn't went ahead and proceed to venture down further. Came back afterwords and saw q no longer there so make up our mind to give it a try.. After we are in, 2 mins onwards q started to build up... Such a lucky one.. Immediately we took half a chicken, taste great and chewy and we like the beast to go without the chilli, taste weird with chill, maybe its me, but my partner likes it much to go with their chilli's. Most importantly not oily chicken we got!!! Rice ball to me is like ehhh... Mhhh... Ohhh.. I don't like it, I might have use to those really chicken rice types of rice as a KLrian... Minus one star due to the rice ball.. (for us) ps: Not a paid reviews, based on what these guys deserve

Overall Experience : Cold chicken, soft chicken rice balls, less chicken taste 1. Half a chicken with chicken rice balls - Fragrant soy sauce chicken. Chicken rice balls are too soft and little chicken taste. Chili sauce is below average. 2. Service - Normal 3. Serving time - Fast 4. Affordability - Cheap (Half a chicken -RM27, chicken rice balls -RM2) 5. Atmosphere - Noisy, clean

I last tried about a year ago. For this round I waited for 15 mins and get my turn for try out the chicken rice again. The chicken is same as usual, a little over cook for me, but it is fine as its their usual cooking style. Acceptable and good soy bean sauce as usual. The chilies sauce on the contrary is not as tasty as before. Come to the most important part of the meal... The Rice... total disaster. Needless to say the rice ball is smaller than before, but it is almost tasteless with little aroma, the texture is totally out as I am eating glue ball, or flour ball. I believe this will be the last time for me to this restaurant in the near future. When I am leaving the shop, I can see the waiting Q is even longer. Hahaha, this might be the typical scenario, once the restaurant get famous, food quality might not be so important.... But definitely not me. I sure hope the restaurant owner can improve the quality of food, after all, the restaurant is carrying some weight in Melaka

Rice not fragrant, Chicken is of course firm but not really aromatic either, chilli is good? though. And min is half chicken for couple ahhh.. a plate of 5 rice balls/ order. Sells out fast and closes early. Do head over early to have a taste of the chicken and rice balls. A signature in Melaka and supposedly amongst the better stores in the stretch. Personally, don’t find it to be particularly delicious but one of the things to try as a tourist.

The food taste is okay, not something to say about. The rice balls was cold and clumped, probably prepared earlier. The chicken was okay, but a bit salty. The restaurant is always crowded so have to wait for some time to get in, and feel rushed to finish food because the owner and customers waiting. Located beside Hard Rock Cafe before the entrance to Jonker Street.

?Chop Chung Wah 中华茶室海南鸡饭, Jonker Street @ Melaka My first time ever trying Melaka's famous Chicken Rice Ball. We waited in the sweltering sun for nearly an hour just for this! With over 20 years of experience, this shop had industrious vibes. Patrons were thronging in and out quite constantly. The Chicken Rice Balls had a gingery rich taste, which was really palatable and nice. The chicken served was also prepared well. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, something I'm glad I've done and dusted. I'm not the biggest fan of chicken rice in general anyway, Our trip to Melaka for 2 nights was more than a month ago, before the floods at this very moment. Wishing the Melaka folks safety in the midst of these trying moments.
