Stopped by Yong Peng for the famous Fuzhou fried mee, braised mee, and fried fish cake. Fuzhou fired mee is full of garlicky taste, and noodle cooked to just right. Braised mee is cooked with black vinegar but it tastes rather sweet. The fish cake taste really like the home made type. Yumsss.??

The best loh mee in Yong Peng (in my own list). The taste is superb especially when it mixed with the vinegar. Tried fried mee hoon (dry) as well but it is quite normal in my opinion. If you like loh mee, this is a must try in Yong Peng!

Reasonable price and food portion just nice. Need to be patient because the noodles take time to cook. The fish cake is abit salty. They accept eWallet payment

My first time here was very memorable, and that's why I could not forget how authentic the food here. It was a very long night the previous day, and the very next morning we had to rush to Labis where my friend stopped here for breakfast (they starts at 7am) while on the way. They used to operate from a rundown shack hence the name (Atap OD).. cantonese translate into rumah atap. This is one gem in Yong Peng that the locals patronise - as this place serves authentic Foo Chow foods where people eat on day-to-day basis. For the uninitiated, Yong Peng is predominantly Foo Chow community. I brought along as associates here and they loved it a lot. In fact one of them had come here years ago but had forgotten the name and location, and he thanked me for bringing back the memory again. ◾Foo chow loh mee - I've tasted many loh mee in PJ, KL or even the famous Ulu Yam but nothing come close to this. When it was served, you could see the thick gooey and almost black sauce covering the bowl... And underneath it was the perfectly braised noodle packed with robust flavour which was sourish, savoury, sweet and umami. The smell of black vinegar and the prawn stock was prominent as I rolled the noodle with chopstick. This is stark difference with the normal loh mee that I had in Ulu Yam. That is because they add the vinegar while cooking, resulting in the vinegar being absorbed fully by the noodle and sauce. I am normally not a fan of vinegar but I found myself liking this. ◾Dry style fried Foo chow mee - could taste the wok hei although could be better, but good nonetheless as it has the similar flavour of the famous fried noodle back in my hometown. And the chilly sauce complimented the noodle perfectly. ◾Deep fried wantan - perfect snack while waiting for your noodle. Freshly fried on the spot and best consumed piping hot. ◾Fried fish cake - another must order dish as the texture was good, while the flavour shone. ◾Otak-otak - I could taste the chunky fish meat in the delicious Otak-otak. One of those that I could never get enough of... Comparable to those I had in Muar honestly. Please order this... Be careful when they serve as the plate will be very hot. Atap OD is definitely the good place to enjoy delicious and yummy foo chow noodle in a small town setting. It's pretty basic, not in anyway retro or nostalgic but the food made up for it.

Food is nice. Loh Mee is nice. Fish cake is nice. Wantan not bad. But staff is abit rude.

Lor Mee, Fried Kway Teow, Muar Otah, Fried Fishcake. Came here for the lor mee as a pit stop. This is worth a stopover if you are heading to KL!

Foo Chow noodles are delicious and price is reasonable, been eating here for so many years ever since I was a child.

Hock chiew noodle just so so. Average hawker standard. Pork lard in the noodle not really lift up the taste. 3 stars Loh mee below average. Vinegar too strong to my liking. Nothing worth mdntioned. 2 stars Egg soup was ok. Similar taste as sgark fin soup. 3 stars
