β β β β β Came around 2pm, reasonable crowd. Tried their nasi kukus king (with fried egg add on) and tea beng jebok (honey milk tea). The fried chicken is really tasty, well seasoned and fried. The steam rice could have been steamed longer, the one we had was abit undercooked. The main dish set is reasonably priced (RM7) but add on can be pricy. The fried egg is priced at RM2 each.
The tea beng jebok is a must try. Selling at RM5.50, slightly pricy too but I guess it could be due to the ingredients of using original honey to make the drinks. Super tasty.
There was a live band performing when we were there, whom sang well in few languages. You may tip them as you like.

β β β β β Donβt come here during buka puasa time. Or even anytime. They wonβt tell u thereβs no food left, they will somehow troll u around and youβll disappointingly find out with rude attitude. So rude Like u owned them 1 million.
So Blacklisted on my list. I wonβt step into this place in the future even Iβm hungry to death!

β β β β β Overall experience is good, very friendly and warm staff. Didnβt have to wait long to be served. Fried chicken is the yummiest. Ayam Percik is not bad. Good sambal and curry gravy. The only thing I dislike is the rice. The Teh jebok is special but too sweet for me.

β β β β β Great food. Price is okay considering the taste and proportion of the food. We enjoyed the Nasi Kukus King. Chicken was properly fried. The honey milk tea was the main attraction for me. It is sweet but very refreshing. Try to reach the place by 12 pm. I found the food warm and parking is available around the shop. I will be visiting again soon.

β β β β β Tried the nasi kukus king. The ayam kampung not bad. Nasi beratur is the same as nasi kak wok in kelantan. Spacious dining hall they have but can be quite warm during hot day ad no ac.

β β β β β That day I did visit this restaurant to try out their nasi kukus, since in like 2-3 years ago, they are quite famous in Prima Setapak.
I ordered a nasi lemak king,
#Summary: Bad food quality which sell at a realtively high price, meanwhile come along with their bad service.
#Bad service
firstly let's talk about their staff, not sure because I'm from another race or what, they just don't likely to serve me, the moment I reached their store, their staff is chitchatting and didn't follow the SOP, they are mask off.
After I make an order, their kids?? I not sure, who looks like secondary school students, keep laughing at their mama? who pack the nasi for me for no reason, and the mama also ask me certian question with a bad attitude she let me feel that she's being annoyed, even though I was the only one customer in that restaurant at that time.
Afterwards she they ask me to pay at counter, the moment I went to counter there's another young lady (she's wearing a specs), I don't know why she just pretending like very bossy and arrogant, ask me go back to the nasi kukus counter for no reason? And ask me to pay at there, then I go back to the nasi kukus counter again, once the nasi kukus has well packed, she ask me go back to the cashier counter to pay for my meal again, then again the bad attitude I received from the cashier again. Just like kick me here and there you know, their food also not really nice and expensive, some more still serve the customers with such attitudes........
#Bad food quality
After I went back, I was like it's ok that they have a bad attitude if they serve with a delicious meal, but the results I really disappointed, their fried chicken is dry out, boiled eggs obviously taste like the overnight eggs, not much fragrance or seasoning on their rice and is kinda dry, sambal also not nice one, etc. Really disappointed, guys you'll can get a tastier nasi kukus with a cheaper or the worthable price at others places such as authentic Malay restaurants, mamak, pasar, etc, and definitely not here, the price not worth for their service and foods... Won't visit this Kalate Kitchen again. Thanks you.
