It's a popular jogging area complete with tracks. I was lucky to see a different species of monkeys, darker than the normal ones with white circles around their eyes. If one were to zoom in on the photos of branches, one could see it clearly. I was not able to snap pictures of what everyone calls the flying squirrel. They are 5 times the size of the normal brown squirrels. They are almost black with white around their eyes. I do not think you have to pay to come up here. I am not sure about having to pay at the museum, though.

Well kept grounds and cosy little museum. Was hoping to see more of the ruins but there's not much to see. It would be useful to have more information boards at the ruins itself. Very friendly guard who let us drive up to the museum itself when he saw that we had our elderly parents with us - to avoid needing to climb the earlier part of the stars. Gallery C at the museum was closed when we were there.

It's a historical place of Lukut. DO NOT come here if you have no interest in history and end up giving low rating. You will see nothing if you don't know how to appreciate history. For those who understand, and value the effort of the authority who did their best to maintain the place without any fee required from the public, please come and support this place. It's beautiful to my eyes and very informative. Do you know that Raja Jumaat built/designed the Fort of Lukut? Come and see how systematic it is. It was even recognized by British resident in the 19th century. Being Malaysian, I am proud of the work done! KL citizens must be familiar with Raja Bot because it's the name of one of the street in Chow Kit. He is the son of Raja Jumaat and was the last ruler of Lukut before it fell under the control of Sg. Ujong. Interesting? Then it's a must for you to come! (Sorry, not many photos inside the museum, my phone was overheated due to the hot sunny day). Oh, one more, please bring drinking water because it can be an exhausting climb. There's no stall or vending machine available.

Just a glimpse of old city. Although what left is only ruins but still was nice to imagine how it was in their heyday. And the museum is very informative about the old malays.

Quaint little museum showcasing local history, situated on a site where an old fort used to guard over the entrance to the Lukut settlement. Built on hilly terrain so it may not suit everyone and there's virtually no wheelchair access. Informative, good to spend a quick hour when you have it in a especially clean and well maintained grounds manned by friendly staff.
