★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A good experience especially we are from the city. We are too used with light pollution, it’s amazing to watch fireflies lighting up by the river like Christmas trees.
If you are from Desaru, the drive to this location is about 40minutes. Boat rides at about 7.45pm. If you reach too early, you can grab dinner at the town nearby that’s 5 minutes away.
You can call the number provided to check if the boat ride is on (if it rains, there will be no ride) and book for your tickets.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fireflies are visible. Do note that fireflies are tiny and won't show up in photos. They can only be captured in video like tiny blinking Xmas tree lights with a decent large aperture camera/mobile for dark scenes. The restaurant was not open when I visited. Limited seats per session so buying tickets in advance is recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s a river cruise ride of about 40 mins along Johore river. The fireflies line both sides of the bank and it’s up to skipper to guide the pontoon nearer or further from the banks.
Some sections he may get so near that the fireflies are within reach and you’d be tempted to touch them. Besides the fireflies, it’s just as relaxing to just take in the darkness, tranquility and cool breeze.
Make reservation beforehand via WhatsApp to avoid disappointment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My friends and I somehow managed to make it in time for our session. Very fortunate that there was quite a large group. It was a boat ride along the river side of mangrove bushes where the fireflies were. The fireflies were not very active amd resting on the bushes hence not as spectacular as one had imagined it to be. Overall nice experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent experience, great staff at the fireflies river cruise. It was a Friday evening, we only managed to get a time slot at 2030hrs, our preferred time slot at 1930hrs was already sold out when we tried to book on Thursday. We were put on wait list & get periodically update from the lady at the counter. She gave us the priority to board the boat once she knew they were customer who didn’t turn up. It’s an experience of a lifetime. The gentleman who guided the boat was professional & have in depth knowledge of the river, my boy even have a chance to feel the fireflies up close, which drove him to be excited & wanted to come again. It’s like Christmas in real life…spot the monitor lizard in the last photo ?

We visited Kota Tinggi Firefly Park with a scenic boat ride along the Johor River and catch these magical sparkling fireflies surrounded.
This activity is perfect for children and adults alike, making it a great family bonding experience.
Due to short of the manpower, they are trying to answer every customer questions. Service not bad and friendly !
I just feel unfortunately our camera or phone shoot the amazing moment on the boat when we see the twinkle twinkle little fireflies. But we are lucky to see the snake slept on the tree.
