KTMB Kempas is located at Jalan Permatang Utama in Kempas.It is a small station that provide service to people that do not wish to go down to KTMB JB Central Johor Bahru which is 10 km from Kempas. The KTMB Kempas station is very much convenience for the public from the suroundding area. It is a small station by it is good for passenger & commuter, especially for commuter to east & north peninsula of Malaysia. There is a drinks vending machine and small waiting area. There is a public toilet and also relatives can assist to carry luggages into the train if there is a lot of bags or items to carry for passengers or commuters. But since the MCO were implemented they have to follow the SOP and social distancing. Public are not allowed on the platform other than the ticket holder. Parking is limited as it is always full & packed, so if you are sending relatives you will have to parked by the roadside. There is one stall or warong outside the station if you need to take bite or two. KTMB Kempas Baru will have a new look in another few years, as they will built a new station next/adjacent to the present station. It will be much bigger and more of facility provided for travellers. It will be a double track to provide a faster, better, comfortable, convenience and safer travelling .
