In the middle of the bridge you could get a good view and take some pictures of the fishing boats and the fishermen's fish processing facilities. Apparently, it’s exceptionally scenic during sunset or sunrise but we were there in mid-afternoon.

Kuala Sepetang is another fishing village. It is situated in Taiping, State of Perak. This village was formerly known as Port Weld under The British India. Most of the fishermen were Chinese origin and very few Malay fisherman in this area. While mostly all the Chinese fishermen owns a larger trawling boats, the local Malays were using small engine boats or sampans and could not go farther from the shore where the trawlers usually does. Besides fishing village, prawn mee and other seafood could be found here but the taste depends which restaurant or local chef who cooks it. Price is reasonable.

A scenic bridge to see the fishing village from the middle of the bridge, over the river. What makes it more significant, at least to the local community of Koay Kang (across the river) village, is the bridge serves as the only convenient way to cross into the Kuala Sepetang town, where road leads out of the town. The bridge is however only accessible to pedestrian, bicycle and motorcycles. The Koay Kang community can only park their car at the town and walk over, if they ever own one. Before the completion of the bridge, shuttle boat service was the only way across.
