★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I dropped in for lunch but with no buffet available i opted for nasi lemak which came with a prawn sambal and a chicken curry. This was good and I enjoyed it.
The brulee could have been better as the custard was too heavy. Service was just average.

Food wise - 5 stars
Compliments to the chef! Carbonara, satay and pastries/cakes/scones were delectable, awesome, delicious!
Ambience - 5 stars
Service - 2.5 stars
My rating had to drop because of the service, or rather… lack of it.
For a 5 star hotel, it was quite shocking. No staff was attentive towards their guests, I felt as if I was in a coffee shop trying to get the staff’s attention.
Quite a contrast to Shangri-la’s level of service, I’m sorry to say, but hope the management can take this as constructive feedback.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came on a Friday afternoon with my mum to try the afternoon tea set (2-5pm daily, if not mistaken). There were about 3-4 other groups already seated before us. Ordered the tea set around 2:15pm, but the food only arrived around 2:50pm. The tea were served rather quickly after our order, but by the time the sweets arrived, it's already rather cold ? (if you select tea instead of coffee, they would serve you tea from TWG). I'm not sure what's causing such a delay in a 5-star hotel; don't think the service is what I'm very happy about. But to be fair there isn't many people available to serve the customers too. Maybe there's even lesser people in the kitchen ? ... So if you're hungry or impatient, I wouldn't recommend this place at the moment until this problem is fixed. (FYI when we paid our bill, another guest complained that he waited for an hour for his food to arrive)
Food wise ... Meh. The afternoon tea set costs RM160 (final price) and I was expecting to have more "luxurious" food/ingredients. But it's really just some truffle, smoked duck, crab(?) meat served in tiny portions, and some small pieces of cakes. To be honest I wouldn't mind if the ingredients are just "normal" ones; problem is the taste isn't great either. You can easily get better tasting cakes or sandwiches in common bakeries.
I guess, all in all, I'm just paying for the place and environment (very spacious, comfortable, clean and nicely kept); not the food or the services. This place (Link@Sheraron) is located on 3rd floor in the Sheraton building (you don't get extremely exceptional city view either). Would say I'm rather disappointed this time round ... Gave 2 stars because this is definitely not value-for-money ... Anyway it's just my 2 cents.
