★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice food and comfortable environment. Coffee and charcoal grilled bread with kaya are really authentic. Not many cafe insist on charcoal nowadays, the flavor is unique and nostalgic

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 14 Nov 2020. We met a friend after our lunch at the next door shop. Drinks were wonderfully done with great taste of my coffee. The laksa also tasted very good with thick Coconut aroma. A good place to have family meals too because of reasonable pricing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 3.5 ⭐ for this cosy aircon restaurant with good service. Hokkien mee is highly recommended, though the serving size is a bit small. Hor fun with egg is not bad too. Tea & coffee & bread are prepared in a traditional kopitiam style. The fried rice is a bit too wet & the sambal toast too salty.

Nice setting, service was prompt but food was below par.
Presentation was 3 out of 10. Taste was below average and the biggest damper was the cockles in the Fried Kueh Teow was smaller than the normal red seed...
Won't recommend returning...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ordered nasi goreng kampung with chicken curry, fried Kuetiau, butter kaya toast, egg mayo toast and chicken wings.
Both Kuetiau and nasi goreng taste really nice.not overseasoned,not too salty or spicy, but bursting with wok hei. Can even see each noodle strand properly charred.
The chicken curry is the one i like the most, full of flavor and isn't too thick (from kerisik) like most curry. Smooth and delicious. Great for dipping with toast. Egg mayo is also nice, it's more on the savoury side, with lots of black pepper.
Chicken wings are excellent too. Light and well seasoned, with some herb aroma. I can't put my finger around it, maybe curry powder or allspice.
All in all, a very good meal, nice atmosphere, friendly staffs, totally recommended.
