★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Reasonable price Chinese food with great taste. Definitely a good place to have your dinner with friends and family. You can already have your expectations up when you see the amount of people who come here at night. Regardless of the filled, the food came pretty fast. The staff are generally helpful and friendly too.

For a table of 7 we had to keep passing dishes around. It would help greatly if they have a Lazy Susan!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Look at the menu and you would be spoilt for choice. On our first visit, we ordered a modest 3 dishes for our dinner. Above average fare, nicely cooked food and price was reasonable. The Beijing bean curd was a revelation: bean curd cooked till soft in salted egg paste. The pineapple seafood (fresh prawns, fish slices and sotong cooked in sweet spices) was wonderful. Next time, we would try the cincalok seafood as well as the nyonya seafood. Just order in small portions to get a variety of food. This corner restaurant is airy, comfortable and has enough parking spaces. Friendly service from the staff too. Good!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We came over to have early dinner before traveling back to KL. Food portion and taste were okay, price is competitive with those in the vicinity. The captain that took our order was sub-par, unable to recommend dish size (small, medium or large) for our seating - that was disappointing.

1) overall - Chinese stir-fry restaurant, offers wide range of food selection, competitive price within the neighbourhood, plenty of seating capacity and parking spots, open air environment (warm), opens for brunch, lunch and dinner, special for its curry fish, curry vegetables, stir fry vegetables, braised pork with yam, and much more... from Locomotive Seafood Restaurant 火车头海鲜小炒
2) Cincalok seafood - flavourful, umami, aromatic, fresh seafood, cincalok not overpowering the sweetness from seafood, decent dish for all age group
3) braised pork with yam slices - tender pork and yam to almost slide through, great ratio of fat-lean ratio of pork meat, competitive price, highly recommended
4) stir-fry vegetable - fresh greens, aromatic, simple dish but full of "wok hei"
5) egg tofu - smooth and silky egg tofu, kids loved it
6) curry vegetable - aromatic with a hint of curry powder, cooked in claypot to prevent heat escapes, great pair with white rice

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Locomotive Seafood Restaurant offer chinese stir fry dishes. Their speciality is the “jin ja lok” (stir fry seafood with sweet and spicy sauce). Curry mix vegetable also not bad, strong curry powder flavor. Do try their asam fish as well. Overall food is not bad and price is not too expensive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food are delicious, especially the curry seafood and fresh water fish. The homemade pork minced and sweet&sour pork makes our children appetite. Also, the staffs are friendly and humble . I would visit this restaurant again when over nite in ipoh.
