Poor food and expensive. Fried sotong like rubber, oyster cake too dry and not fresh. Never again.

The 4 stars give to its food. First of all, the crispy oyster egg really special and delicious. Follow by the Kong Po prawn is nice as well. However the environment is just normal and the service is not that good.

The last time I ate at Restoran Lumut was when they were in a wooden house many years back. At that time it was the only place I could get steamed fish cili padi (bird's eye chillies) all over the fish. It still is the only place that I know. I have always wanted to visit it again and after more than than a decade, I did get my chance. The first thing I ordered was spicy steam fish. The same dish I ordered every time I went there more than 10 years ago. I also ordered the crispy cuttlefish and mixed vegetables. Sad to say the spicy steamed fish wasn't as good as before. It lacked a bit more taste but the fish was really fresh no doubt. It was still good but it was better 10 years ago. The crispy cuttlefish could've use a bit more salt. All in lunch was good but it was better, 10 years before. Maybe it was due to the wooden house they were in then.

A no frills pork-free Chinese restaurant serving various seafood and vege dishes, pork free. Menu has no prices but you can trust that it will be reasonable. The oyster omelette aka Or-jian was very good. With a plate of fried mihoon and sotong belacan and an ice coffee, lunch for 2 was RM39. Lots of car parking spaces a short walking distance away.

Rewarding curiosity...so Many non Chinese people gave good comments about this place. Furthermore upon arriving this Malaysian Chinese Seafood..I found good mix of Malaysians here.. and I never regretted my choice. It was an excellent dinner. About the Owner, she was very friendly and helpful but in nature seems serious but obviously she is busy due to understaffed. Price was satisfyingly reasonable.
