★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have been looking for this Tart for quite some time. Square shaped Tart, unique for its shape and crust. Fragrance is strong, smells great. Crust is buttery and crumbly, which is well done. Will be a bit full and unable to go for seconds, as the crust is a bit heavy.
However, the egg custard is almost tasteless, hot or cold. Unable to classify as Portugese style because the flavours were not there at all. Even tried the coffee flavour one, coffee flavour is present, but egg custard taste is really too faint to be enjoyed. Custard is firm rather than creamy.
Have not tried their fruit tart, might be better.
Hopefully the owner can improve on their egg custard recipe, or taste wise it's just not for me.
