The ikan bakar is super nice but you need to be extremely patient because the service is super slow and there is a long queues. Just a tips for you, make sure you already had something light forst before heading to this ikan bakar place. Like for us, we just decided to tapau and eat it at our hotel and our ordering time approximately 1 hour +.

Food isn't good at all. E flesh of e grilled sambal sting ray was hard. E Kai lan with Ikan asin was practically butchered. E only saving grace was e salted egg sotong n e chilli crab which wasn't fantastic but at least edible. Total bill RM$73

Great food, despite having a huge amount of customers the restaurant manage to provide us with the best service. The fried squid is one of the best food I had tried there

Since our 1st visit to the Friendly Beach City of Kuantan we have eaten dinner at Mail Ikan Bakar every single night (At least 10 delicious dinners), The Sotong Goreng Tepung is by far our favourite. Fresh, Buttery, Melts in your Mouth, best eaten while it is hot. We have tried so many of the seafood dishes and never leave disappointed. The atmosphere is casual and relaxing. We arrive early to beat the crowds and enjoy easy parking. Thank you to the team at Mail Ikan Bakar for always making us feel so welcome. Till our next visit.

Waited about one hour which standard time for this kind of restaurant. Food was okay too except for the kailan ikan masin, it could be better. I would give 2/10 for kailan ikan masin but the sotong celup tepung and everything else was good ??

it was a long wait during lunch but there weren’t alot of customers. later we found out that our order was thrown away by one of the staffs that should have prepared the drinks . we were told by the staff who took our drink orders (thank you) the banana pancake was the best!! cheap around maybe rm4(?) full of bananas and taste real great .
