Cemetery of some of the royal family. Well maintained little area, worth stopping by to take a look. Beware of monkeys on the drive up there. Close by is Baitulhilal Bukit Jugra - a high viewing point where you get a good view of all the area around it, and para-gliders take off from close to there.

Jugra succeeded Bandar as the royal capital in the mid 1870s. Sultan Abdul Samad lived here until he died in 1898. The mausoleum of Sultan Abdul Samad is located with other, smaller royal tombs in well tended, shady grounds on the side of Jugra Hill, overlooking the Langat estuary. A plaque records the date of the Sultan's death, according to both Islamic & western calendars;'14th Ramadan Sanah 1305 bersama dengan 6 Februari, tahun 1898 Masih'. Immaculately maintained, the mausoleum is a squarish building with an arcaded porch that leads to the enclosed tomb chamber. The arcade employs a Corinthian order with central arches on 3 sides framed by lower arches. The low, castellated roof parapet runs along the top, accented by finials & shields carrying the state crest. Surmounting the chamber is a golden, onion-shaped dome. The mix of western classical & Islamic Indian architectural features derives from British India;hence it is often known as the 'British Raj' or 'Mogul' style. It was first used in the new government offices in Kuala Lumpur, completed in 1897 & now appropriately named Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad (Sultan Abdul Samad building). Behind the royal mausoleum is the small & distinctive tomb of Raja Muda Musa, son of Sultan Abdul Samad, who predeceased his father in 1884. The tomb, with narrow arch openings on each side, has oversized attached fluted columns at its four corners topped by cones. It is surmounted by a 3-tier 'stupa-shaped' dome & rests on a finely decorated low marble podium. Together, with the royal mausoleum, the Sri Jugra Lighthouse & a radar tower dominate the summit of Jugra Hill.

Royal burial ground of Sultan Abdul Samad, the 4th Sultan of Selangor. The first three Sultans were buried on Bukit Melawati in Kuala Selangor. Among the graves are the Sultan's consorts, his sons and daughters.
