Masjid Raja mula dibina pada tahun 1539M
di era pemerintahan Sultan Muzzafar Shah ( Sultan Pertama Negeri Perak )
Struktur asalnya adalah dari kayu, berdindingkan kelarai dan beratapkan rumbia.
Rekabentuknya dipengaruhi senibina Riau, Sumatra, Minangkabau, Deli dan Melayu.
Masjid ini telah mengalami 3 ubahsuai
dan pada kali ketiga barulah diganti dengan dinding papan dan beratapkan zink.
Kali terakhir masjid ini digunakan adalah pada tahun 2004.
 OLD MOSQUE IN LENGGONG
The King's Mosque was first built in 1539M
in the reign of Sultan Muzzafar Shah (First Sultan of Perak)
The original structure was made of wood, walled with grass and thatched roof.
Its design was influenced architecture Riau, Sumatra, Minangkabau, Deli and Malay.
This mosque has undergone 3 renovations
and the third time it was replaced with a wall of boards and a roof of zinc.
The last time this mosque was used was in 2004.
