for parents you could show your kids what is rebana ( drum with cowskin) and let them experience a good knock with the rebana. make sure the masjid comittee is ok with testing the rebana.
theres a long covered bench across the river on the west entrance of this mosque. a cool place to hang out to see the traffic goes by and the small town happening.
