Beliau juga pelopor kepada pembukaan Teruntum yang kini telah berkembang menjadi Kuantan, nama baharunya sebelum berhijrah ke Beserah. Tuan Haji Senik juga adalah penghulu pertama Beserah.
The late Tuan Haji Senik was the pioneer of the opening of the Beserah village whose old name was Kampung Beruang. He was also the pioneer of the opening of Teruntum which has now grown into Kuantan, his new name before migrating to Beserah. Tuan Haji Senik was also the first chief of Beserah.
