★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mosque Security Guard enforce strict rules of SOP Covid19. Do not forget to bring prayer mat before come to the mosque. Outdoor and indoor very clean, good condition and comfortable. Commitee of Masjid India very creative in determining the spacing of the prayer lines (other Mosque should take action like this, easy for prayers take their own space). Really SOP Covid19 executed in the Mosque. Keep the good work for all commitee.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is typical for Muslims to built a mosque and dwell around it to establish a settlement. Likewise, Masjid India was a small and simple wooden mosque built by the Indian traders visiting Malaysia in the year 1883. The present structure was constructed by the Sultan of Malaysia in the year 1963. There is nothing unique about this mosque but people visit this place to commemorate its founders.
During pandemic times it is common in Malaysia to carry their own Prayer Mat to the mosques. For this reason the security guard at the Masjid India does not allow any one to enter the masjid without a prayer mat. In case you have forgotten to carry one, then there is a possibility of buying one from local shops in front of the Mosque. The mosque carpet has been removed for safety reasons.
There is a local market close to this mosque and can be visited to explore the local items at sale. The visit to this mosque can be combined with the visit to the mosque Jamek as it is very near to that place.
