The Knowledge Park is an initiative of the state government
of Terengganu, which also provides the 700 acres of land
needed for the project.
Bukit Dendong Townships comprises of all those pieces of
land known as “Taman Ilmu” or “Knowledge Park”.
The remaining parcels of land are
owned by the State Government,
Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin,
Universiti Malaysia Terengganu
and private proprietors
Bukit Dendong Township Development has been specifically set apart for the
establishment of an ‘Integrated Knowledge Hub’ for the development
of Terengganu, particulars of which are as described in the gazette
