The hostel is good,,,but if you want the best block, you have to stay at block M its really good and clean

Nice place for small family, many studying advantages gain because it is located inside the compus.

Great accommodation with adequate facilities

This hostel needs renovation and upgrades. It does not tally with the beautiful campus of UUM

Not good. Buildings are old. Often you have to repair electricity switches. Location is bit far from library, particularly for the S onward blocks. Also moving around campus after 10 from this location is not recommended. Buses don't follow the schedule on this route. Park is not clean children cannot play, it's so dirty

It is a very desirable place to live if you are lucky enough to receive allotment of this hostel. It is next to the main Masjid and just a kilometer away from the center of the university and versity mall. As of now, until July 2019, overwhelming number of occupants of the hostel are foreigners; Nigerians, Pakistanis and Arabs. Earlier this hostel was exclusive to the students with families but a year ago the Student Accommodation Center began allotting Maybank hostel to individuals as well. For individual students it is A MUST to share the place with a fellow student. Each unit of Maybank hostel comes with the liability of monthly electricity and water bills. UUM free wifi and official wifi are available throughout the hostel units. The hostel also offers a study room, in block M, to save the occupants of Maybank from the hassle of walking all the way to the main library for studies. Timings for the study room are from 8 AM to 11 PM. The physical condition of Maybank hostel is acceptable overall. However, a few blocks need immediate attention of the administration for repair and maintenance. The long term occupants of the Maybank hostel have reported ocassional appearance of wild animals like pigs and snakes in and around the living units. However, the security staff of the university is very active to respond to the calls related to animals and other dire situations faced by the occupants. Overall, it is an ideal place to live for those plan to live for a long term.
