The area is too dark. Bad outdoor lighting can decrease safety. My suggestion - spotlights at four corners of the square for a well lit area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best to visit at night time. Can stroll around and enjoy the night view of Masjid Zahir, Alor Setar Tower, Balai Seni, and other buildings. I can see locals are hanging out here, picnic, or just relaxing. Must visit place when in Alor Setar.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a must visit place when you are in Alor Setar. It is a huge square located in the centre of the town. Surrounded by important buildings and monuments such as Kedah Art Gallery, Masjid Zahir, Royal Museum, and many more. The Alor Setar Tower can also be clearly seen from here. It is a great place for you to capture nice pictures.
