★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place was quite lively at night despite not all the food stalls were open (some stalls open only during daytime). Coming from KL, the food here were considerably cheap. The satay stall (stall 2) is selling chicken satay for RM0.60. You couldn't get that price in KL. The satay was good too. The service was swift although during peak time it could be awhile to get your dinner.
The hawker centre is predominantly Malay so you'd find most stalls selling the same types of food (i.e tomyam, masakan panas etc). I had the seafood fried rice from stall no 1, not only it is cheap but the portion is generous as well. We didn't get the chance to try it but stall 17 is selling mutton/lamb based dishes including lamb stew and lamb chop. So if you're out of ideas where to have dinner in Chukai, this hawker centre should be a viable option.
